How do you treat your days?

The total sum of your days equals your life. What you do with your life is actually a result of what you do with each day of your life… If you gave Jesus your life, then you gave Jesus your days. They are not your own anymore, but they are now tools for Jesus’s best use for His glory and for His Kingdom to expand on the earth. Since they are not your own, you cannot spend your time anyhow, in any way or with anyone, but ask the Jesus of your days to live His life through you each day and go through you where He wants, when He wants, do what He wants, how He wants and with whom He wants.

Commands and Promises Concerning Strength

We may say that we are too weak, that we are not strong enough to do the will of God. That is certainly true if it is a matter of our own strength, but God commands us to be strong in Him, and He promises the strength we need.

Isa 40:29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

We have hope because it is God who gives power to us when we are weak.

Scriptures on the Importance of Endurance

Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

God does not promise salvation to those who fail to endure in the tests which are surely coming upon the people of the earth. So don’t give up! (See Mark 13:13, Matthew 10:22

Heb 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

We need to keep doing the will of God to be saved. If we don’t have endurance, we cannot receive the promises of God concerning salvation or anything else.

One of the most unsuccessful years of my life financially was 2006. By not returning to Australia, and instead trying to set up business deals through certain people in Dubai, I lost many hundreds of thousands of dollars I would have had otherwise. I should have kept my investment properties in Australia and worked in Australia instead of wasting lots of time in Dubai. But I didn’t know at the time. I thought I could move on to bigger and better things.

Ultimately no one is to blame for this more than me.

Who are God’s Children and what will God do for them?

“But as many as received Him, He gave them the authority to become children of God, to those who believe in His name;” (John 1:12)

If you have truly received Jesus, truly believed in His name, you have the authority to become a child of God. It does not say you automatically ARE a child of God, by believing in His name and receiving Him, but you ARE able to become one. The effective use of that authority comes as you walk with God in trust and obedience.

The Main Points of the Sermon on the Mount – Part 1

Some of the most important teachings of Jesus Christ are recorded in Matthew’s Gospel, chapters 5 through 7. These teachings have come to be known as “The Sermon on the Mount” because it says in Matthew 5:1 that Jesus ascended the mountain and his disciples came up to hear him.

These teachings are really important because according to Jesus, your long term future is determined by whether you DO or DO not DO the things Jesus instructed here.

Not forgiving can send you to hell

“And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
“So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Matthew 18:34,35

Who is Jesus talking to? Answer: His disciples. Who are the torturers? They are demons. What is required by God? That in view of the great amount we have been forgiven by God, we must forgive all that hurt us and do injustice to us, especially our Christian brothers. What if we disobey and refuse to forgive?

Doctors spend years studying these different symptoms and methodologies to suppress or manage them with drugs or surgery. But as Raymond Francis points out in his book, “Never be sick again”, there is basically only one kind of disease – and that is – the malfunction of cells in our body. When enough cells misfunction, one of the body’s complex systems will start to perform poorly.
