This is the second chapter of our eBook
on Prayer Pastoring. The first chapter dealt with step one praying
for mercy. We often have judgements against us that halt our prayers
for ourselves therefore we need God’s mercy. Without mercy our
prayers are hindered. We often mistake opposition as coming from
spiritual warfare but many times it is coming from God himself and we
are reaping what we have sown. This opposition is the judgement of
God. Chapter one explains this process.

5/ The Anointing of Oil

Exodus 29:6

Put the turban on him and tie on it the sacred sign of dedication engraved ‘Dedicated to the LORD’. 7/ Then take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.

We do not live under the Law of Moses any more, yet while praying for somebody who was under heavy demonic oppression God told me to, ‘anoint her with oil and dedicate her and consecrate her to God and declare her holy.‘ I have never forgotten the incident and I don’t remember God ever telling me to pray for somebody else like that again.

“For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

God’s Word is at work in the world today. It is an active force. It governs the spiritual activity in the Universe. It changes things, especially when spoken and believed, both in the hearts of men and in their circumstances. God is watching over his word to perform it (Jer. 1:12).

What is the Bible?

The Bible is a collection of 66 books, 39 in the Old Testament or Old Covenant, and 27 in the New Testament or New Covenant. We can think of the Old Covenant as being the old contract or the old deal between God and men, while the New Covenant is the new contract or the new deal between God and man. The Old Testament contains the Law of Moses, books of history, books of poetry, books of wisdom, and books of prophecy, many of which are fulfilled today in amazing detail.

Timpul a sosit în seria noastră de studii de bază să considerăm adevărurile şi principiile care se relatează la război spiritual şi la eliberarea de duhuri rele. Aşa cum am văzut în lecţia 2, Biblia ne descoperă existenţa lui satan, ca fiind duşmanul lui Dumnezeu şi al omenirii, precum şi existenţa unei armate de duhuri rele, care sunt cunoscuţi sub numele de demoni. Aceştia operează la porunca lui satan.

Am văzut în studiile trecute cum Dumnezeu a lucrat ca să ne aducă în relaţie înapoi cu El Însuşi prin lucrarea lui Isus de pe cruce. Am văzut necesitatea neterminată a pocăinţei şi credinţei dacă de fapt vom avea acea relaţie cu Dumnezeu şi să scăpăm de judecata care vine peste toţi rebelii. Acum ar trebui să vedem că prioritatea primară a lui Dumnezeu pentru noi în stilul nostru nou de viaţă de încredere şi ascultare este ca noi să avem o părtăşie iubitoare cu alţi credincioşi de felul pe care Isus a avut-o cu apostolii.

A sosit timpul ca în seria noastră de studii fundamentale să luăm în consideraţie Duhul Sfânt, şi în special, botezul în Duhul Sfânt. Acest subiect este o parte din doctrina de bază a botezurilor (vezi Evrei 6:2). Este important ca fiecare creştin să înţeleagă corect ce este botezul în Duhul Sfânt, astfel încât să le poată explica corect şi altora, dar este de asemenea important să experimenteze acest botez în Duhul Sfânt, şi astfel să intre într-o dimensiune a vieţii plină de puterea lui Dumnezeu.

Subiectul botezului în apă a fost din punct de vedere istoric poate una dintre cele mai puţin înţelese doctrine ale Noului Testament. Multă învăţătură falsă bazată pe tradiţiile şi gândirile omului au întunecat sensul acestei doctrine importante. Unii învaţă că botezul în apă nu este important deloc. În acord cu Evrei 6:2, doctrina botezurilor este parte a fundaţiei care trebuie să fie pusă în viaţa creştină.

Scopul mântuirii este să restaureze oamenii pierduţi la o relaţie cu Dumnezeu Tatăl nostru. Prin crucea lui Isus, barierele acelei relaţii au fost date la o parte. Când începem să ne încredem în Dumnezeu din nou şi să ne întoarcem de la păcatele noastre, El vine în vieţile noastre să înceapă o nouă relaţie de dragoste cu noi. Dumnezeu există în fiecare creştin adevărat (Romani 8:9,10; Ioan 14:23; Apocalipsă 3:20; 2 Corinteni 13:5).
