The Atonement

WE BELIEVE that God’s answer to man’s sinful state is in the death of his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross, whose sufferings and shed blood have made full atonement for the sins of the whole world, both original and actual, and that there is no other ground for salvation – 2 Cor 5:18-21; Gal 1:4, Eph 1:7; Col 1:14; Heb 9:25,26; 1 Peter 1:19-20.

Introduction.

It is in this subject, the atonement, that we find release from the curse. In our last study we saw the Fall of Man and how it brought in a curse upon the human race.

Prosperity, Money and Responsible Handling of Resources

Our series of studies would not be complete without considering the principles by which a true disciple of Jesus should be guided in the matter of responsibly and biblically handling the natural resources which God has given to each one. (name those sins) and I utterly renounce those sins in the name of Jesus Christ. I absolutely turn from them. Satanic Tactics

“… for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Paul and his close co-workers made it their business not to be ignorant of Satan’s devices. This does not mean that Paul spent a lot of time researching all the dark secrets of Satan’s kingdom. No. Paul said to the Romans, “I want you to be wise in what is good, but simple (innocent) concerning evil. And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly” (Romans 16:19). Honestly, we don’t need to be “au fait” with all the latest conspiracy theories and what Satan may or may not be doing (Isaiah 8:12,13).

Blessings and Curses

What is a blessing?

A blessing is a positive declaration over someone or something. When God blesses a person, He declares good concerning them which will surely come to pass. Our ultimate concern should be to please and glorify God. He certainly deserves it. However, in truly doing this, we will attract God’s blessings and we will attract God’s favor. A good example in the Bible of someone who attracted God’s favor was David.
