I am thinking we really should make a sign to hang out front which says: “Salvation guaranteed or your sins cheerful refunded”.
Papa God we thank you this day and want to rejoice in it. The devil did not make this day; this is the day that you Papa God have made so we want to rejoice and be glad in it.
Some religious leaders have the idea that only certain people have the right
to read and pray to God in order to understand what God is saying to them through
the Bible. For this reasons in some churches the Bible was kept for centuries
untranslated in the language of the people. In this way religious leaders could
claim to represent Christ and teach the truth without people being able to check
them out. Just as Jesus said to the Pharisees, so we say to such leaders: “Hypocrites!
Many claim to believe in Jesus or to be Christians.
Yet many times people believe in a Jesus of personal or popular imagination.
The real Jesus – the one who died and rose again historically and actually lives
today, is the Jesus revealed in the pages of the Bible. Any other Jesus is a
false one. The Bible declares, “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and
forever.” (Hebrews 13:8).
The Bible is a collection of 66 books, 39 in the Old Testament or Old Covenant, and 27 in the New Testament or New Covenant. We can think of the Old Covenant as being the old contract or the old deal between God and men, while the New Covenant is the new contract or the new deal between God and man. The Old Testament contains the Law of Moses, books of history, books of poetry, books of wisdom, and books of prophecy, many of which are fulfilled today in amazing detail.
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, A they will grow like cedars of Lebanon; planted in the house of the lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” Psalms 92:12-15.
These verses from Psalm 92 declare that we are, in fact, planted in God’s house. The call and purpose of a Christian is first and foremost to glorify God, and that should be the primary desire on which all our other desires are based.
If you remember nothing else about this book, please remember this chapter. Although all that you have read until now is very exciting, what makes it all happen is contained in this chapter.
Our relationship with God is the key that unlocks everything that is His best for us into our lives. It is the key to every successful ministry. We read in Psalms 84:1-12:
How lovely is your dwelling-place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Impossible to Possible
The Lord Jesus was about to return to heaven. He knew He was leaving behind an unsaved world, nation upon nation that had not heard the gospel. Hugely different people with many different ways of thinking; a world full of problems and evil. Jesus had to hand over the responsibility of proclaiming the gospel to this world.
I tell you for the glory of God. I have been in full-time ministry for the past 13 years, with not one single failure during my crusades. I can honestly say I have never returned from a mission and had to admit: “1 failed there; because it was a hard place.” Do you know why? It’s because I know that God is with me. Roman 8:31 (b) says:
“…If God is for us, who can be against us?”
