Definition:by the spirit of religion we mean that group of evil spirits which inspire loyalty to religious concepts and practices in such a way as to oppose and possibly to counterfeit the true work of the Holy Spirit.
After a person truly turns to Christ and receives the assurance of God’s forgiveness for their past sins, there is usually a short period of joy and blessing where everything seems so wonderful and new! During this period answers to prayer come easily, and God seems to give lots of favor. This may be compared to the joy that the Israelites had in leaving Egypt to head for the Promised Land.
Jesus bore my sicknesses and carried my pains, and with His stripes I am healed. Is 53.4 53.5
God has delivered me from the power of darkness and has conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Col 1.13 1.14
In righteousness I shall be established. I shall be far from oppression, for I shall not fear.

Now thanks be to God who always leads me in triumph in Christ. 2Cor 2.14
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, to destroy the works of the devil.
WE BELIEVE in the personality of the devil who, by his influence, brought about the downfall of man, and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ – Gen 3:1-15; Matt 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8; John 13:2.
Introduction
Apart from the Godhead, no other personality is given as much coverage in the Bible as the devil. Whereas it is important not to give the devil undue prominence, the Scriptures also tell us not to be “ignorant of his devices” (2 Cor 2:11).
