I have decided to make a list of different Scriptures that speak about how a woman should be and what she is supposed to do in life, so that I can start to pray often that these things become part of my life, and thus to become the woman that God wants me to be.

I had it on my heart to compile a list of New Testament prayers because I felt that it would be very useful to us as believers to pray for the things that apostle Paul – and obviously God – thought it was important to pray for. This way we are praying according to the will of God and according to the mind of Christ.
The book of Proverbs is revered by Christians as an expression of the Wisdom of God. Here are some personalized prayers and confessions based on this book.

I picked this one up at a church in Brisbane. I do believe it is helpful to believe that God is going to bless and protect you, and speaking accordingly can be very helpful as speech affects our thoughts and beliefs very much. What do others think? Should we use such techniques?

“I declare the Perfect Will of God over my life today; I declare the Life of Jesus over my day! I declare today, that as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
I love discipline and instruction, and I love knowledge. I do not hate correction – I appreciate it. If I hated correction I would be like a brute animal. Pr 12.1
I choose to be good – and receive grace from God. I reject wicked devices. These bring the condemnation of the Lord. Pr 12.2
I put down roots in the Lord that cannot be moved. I reject wicked ways, by which I may never be established in righteousness or truth or anything worthwhile. Pr 12.3
My wife will not cause me shame and be as rottenness in my bones. She is a virtuous woman.

I work when it is time to work. I don’t sleep at those times. Pr 10.5
I quietly accept commands from those in authority rather than chattering like a fool.

I walk with integrity – this makes me secure. I reject crooked paths. I know that those who take them will be exposed. Pr 10.9
I will remember that a chattering fool comes to ruin. Pr 10.10
I choose to love and forgive rather than to hate and quarrel.
Lord, fill us with your Spirit just like you want us to be! (Ephesians 5:18)
Lord, bless us with hunger and thirst for righteousness, and fill us (Matt. 5:6)
Grant us, O God, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. (Eph. 3:16-17)
