While it Was Still Dark

Which Way Lord? – Chapter 10 – By Dr Chandrakumar

While It Was Still Dark

Mary Magdalene came to the tomb looking for the dead body of Jesus to preserve it with carefully prepared spices and perfumes (Luke 23:55,56). This is what the majority of the so-called Christian churches are doing today – preserving the name of Jesus with their carefully prepared methods and messages rather than proclaiming the risen Lord and the hope of eternal life we receive through him.

Faith is Seeing the Unseen

Which Way Lord – Chapter 9 – By Dr Chandrakumar

Faith Is Seeing The Unseen

God can move mountains. But we can move God himself! Faith is the means to move God.

Faith is trusting God for something to happen which we have not seen or experienced before. It is different from belief. We believe some thing that is already known to us. I don’t need faith to believe that I am wearing a wristwatch. Belief is past tense and faith is future tense. St.

Not Tomorrow but Today

Which Way Lord? – Chapter 8 – by Dr Chandrakumar

Not Tomorrow But Today

One reason for doing the right thing today is tomorrow. I would like to caution you that Satan is setting a definite time frame to work against us. If you fail to challenge him accordingly, you may be the loser.

Decision Making – Which Way Lord?

Which Way Lord? – Chapter 7 – by Dr Chandrakumar

Decision Making

It is the final step we take in faith, responding to the light that God has given us through one or several of the foresaid principles. We read in Psalms 37:5, “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.”

During the time we are seeking God’s will on a matter, we should record the light the Lord gives us as we consider all the said principles. Arrange all the factors under three columns.

How to Choose a Life Partner

Which Way Lord? – Chapter 5 – Dr Chandrakumar
Chapter 5 – How To Choose Your Life Partner

If you are a believer in Christ, your life partner should also be a believer (2 Cor. 6:14,15; 1 Cor. 7:39). Nothing should be more important to you or to the person you marry than your spiritual well being. You should only settle for a believer who is spiritually sensitive to the Lord and desires to live for Christ (Eph. 4:17-5:20; Phil. 3:7-16; 1 Jn. 2:15-17).

Gods Will in Marriage

Which Way Lord? – Chapter 3 – Dr Chandrakumar

God’s Will In Marriage

“Brother, how can I find God’s will in choosing my wife/my husband?” is a very pertinent question. Today, there are thousands of broken marriages, as much importance has not been given to this question.

The Dangers of Applied Calvinism

I want to preface all this by saying that some people who would call themselves Calvinists or Reformed Theologians are NOT what I would call practitioners of "Applied Calvinism". They are actually very loving and caring people who believe in the Great Commission and do something for it. At the same time, some Pentecostals and Arminians certainly seem to be "Applied Calvinists" in the sense that they show little or no concern for the state of humanity and the glory of God. What interests God is FAITH that results in OBEDIENCE to the revealed Will of God.

The purpose of waiting

“And I will wait on Thy name” Psalm 52:9c

Waiting is a life-long lesson. We learn to wait when we’re children. We conquer that kind of waiting (like for Christmas, our birthdays, summer vacation). Then, as adults we realize we have to wait for a lot of things especially in regard to our faith and prayer requests.

Looking up “wait on” in the Hebrew, I found something very thought provoking. This is part of it:

Don’t Get Stuck in the Past – 1 Samuel 16

There are lessons in 1 Samuel 16 concerning the risk of getting stuck in the past – excessively mourning over past mistakes and failures, or looking to the past to identify what God wants to do now.

God wants us to quit mourning, get filled and led with the Holy Spirit, overcome our fears, obey Him and discern with spiritual discernment so we can avoid the traps that challenged the prophet Samuel.
