Why We Worship

Why We Worship

Pastor Caspar McCloud-Upper Room Fellowship (c) 2010

I’d like to share a few truths I discovered over the years, “To write with a broken pencil is pointless.”

As a songwriter I learned to write my songs backwards starting at the choirs or hook line, which help me define what my song may be about. I actually learned that from a friend of mine who told me that a backward poet writes inverse. Later on when I went professional I discovered the best writers worked that way.

Papa God we thank you for today and for Jesus and for the Holy Spirit. We thank you for eternal life, our eternal identity, and inheritance and that you made us in your image and likeness. We are so grateful and thankful that you allow us to partner with you like this today; that we can be joint heirs with Christ covered by His precious blood and that you love us with an everlasting love.

Thank you that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a blessed people. We are so grateful you have gathered us together to be of one accord and we can come together each week and learn a more excellent way than we knew before.

Thank you that we can have intimacy with you and can come boldly anytime of day into your throne room to make our requests known to you; that you are full of mercy, grace, and love, and forgive us of all our sins through the shed blood of Jesus; that signs and wonders will follow us as we follow after you.

That we can watch and pray always and we may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and we can stand before you Lord; before the Son of Man.

We invite you Holy Spirit to come now and teach us and take us over.  We invite you Lord to have your way with us now; that you increase as we decrease and that more signs, wonders, miracles, and healings follow us each day.

I ask, Lord, you meet us here just where we are now and that you bring your almighty healing hand to touch each person where their need is. We ask that blessings overtake us and chase us down in Jesus of Nazareth’s name, amen.

As you know all God’s people are the church, we are not a building we are part of the body of Christ on earth. There should be no schism within the body of Christ as we are all family here when we came into salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Yet, still there are some who suffer with obvious disappointments and disillusionment with organized Christianity mainly because men added and subtracted from the Word of God. They who have done this will receive all plagues and curses in Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:                                           19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

We are to help take care of each other, period.

1 Corinthians 12:25 “That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.”

The Lord has brought us together because we are seeking to get back to the integrity of 1st century Christianity. That we simply do the word, the whole word and nothing but the word so help us God, Amen; that we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth!

Now in Hebrews 11:21 “By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.”

We may sometimes need to renew our biblical perspective on what is taking place as we worship and how it can transform our minds and attitude; how it can bring those healing chemicals to be released throughout our bodies.

I found this interesting article a while back. There is this medical doctor and brain specialist, Dr. Richard Pellegrino, who is also a consultant to the entertainment industry from whence I came. He writes some articles for Billboard Magazine which is this magazine the music industry reads to see who is doing what and how many records have they sold; which helps determine what the radio plays. This doctor writes about the power of music. Dr. Pellegrino speaks of the incomparable power of music upon the human brain, stating that music has the uncanny power to: "… trigger a flood of human emotions and images that have the ability to instantaneously produce very powerful changes in emotional states." Pellegrino went on to declare: "Take it from a brain researcher. In 25 years of working with the brain, I still cannot affect a person's state of mind the way that one simple song can."

Think about that, how the Lord can do a mighty work in one true worship song where you just really give it up and connect with the Holy Spirit to be free to worship Papa God through Jesus our Lord.

Now I want you to think this through today. In the book of Hebrews we find a striking contrast between the experience of the people of Papa God under the Old Covenant and their experience under the New Covenant through the blood of Jesus. When you compare the book of Hebrews with places in the Old Testament, like Exodus 19 it becomes very apparent. We have a Mount Sinai and Mount Zion experience here to understand.

After the Lord performs some amazing miracles and brings deliverance from Egypt for the Jewish people, Papa God gathered his people together and made a covenant with them. He constituted them; the Lord gave them a contract, gave them a constitution to be as a nation, his very own chosen people.

Exodus 19:10-23 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, (getting cleaned up to meet with the Lord)      11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.                                                                           12 And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:                                                        13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.        (Nothing was clean enough to touch the mount of the Lord, not even the animals who did not sin.)                                                                          14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.                         15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives. (Preparing for a time of worship with the Lord then meant spending three days getting purified, and no romantic fooling around for husbands and wives. This was a really serious time of preparation.)                                                                                            16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.                                               17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.       18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

I saw this home video years ago where these two fellows, one a Wall Street millionaire, and the other an LA detective went on a quest to find the real Mt. Sinai.  They had to sneak through some Middle Eastern countries literally risking their lives in doing so. But just using the Bible this detective finds the path the Israelites took and they find a spot where they thought they crossed the Red Sea. They find the bitter waters and Mt. Sinai which had barbed wire fence around it. They end up going over the fence and they find those memorial rocks the Israelites built to honor the Lord. They show these paintings on the side of the mountain of cattle only there have been no cattle in this country for 4 thousand years. Then they find the rock where water came out that Moses struck in anger. On top of the mountain they find all the stones are scorched by some fire. They break open a stone with a hammer and it’s made of granite; well granite does not burn as you know.

19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. 20 And the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.                                                          21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.                                                                          22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.              23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.”

In essence here Papa God gives the 10 commandments and Israel begs that they do not hear His voice anymore for fear they would all die. So Papa God being the gentleman he is, stops speaking in an audible voice now except to Moses. Papa God wrote in stone and gave Moses what to write in a book which became a major part of the Old Testament.

You had to be in a place of holiness to be able to see and experience the Lord.

Now over in the New Testament we have this even better contract or covenant.

Hebrews 12:14-24 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

(You know how easy it is to listen to the voice of the devil and be offended so a spirit of bitterness springs up and overtakes you. Then everyone around you gets damaged and defiled. Well it’s just as easy to stay holy and listen to the voice of God and blessings over take you and bless everyone around you).

16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. (That would be like a form of prostitution, or maybe even just fellowshipping with devils.)

17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.                  18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, (just like we just read about with the Israelites)                  19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (They begged to not hear God’s audible voice again.)                                                                                                               20 For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: (If you or an animal touched the mount, you’d be killed by stoning or with an arrow through your heart.)                               21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)”

But we as true spirit-filled believer have been given this awesome blessing of such mercy, grace, and love.

Now look at the gathering at Mount Zion described in Hebrews 12:22-24  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,                                               24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”

Over in 1Peter 1:2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”

Anyone who asks the Lord for forgiveness and makes Jesus their Lord and savior, Jew or gentile is the elect of God.

2 Peter 1:8-10 “For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.                                     9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.    10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”

All people are called to become Papa God’s elect or chosen ones and can be if they will only choose to accept the amazing gift of salvation.

Mount Zion is a way of saying it is the city of the living God; it is the heavenly Jerusalem; it is home to innumerable good angels who minister for the Lord. Those good angels are gathering in festivities and for the assembly of the firstborn; those born again believers who are now enrolled in heaven where Papa God is the judge of all. This is where the Lord Jesus causes us in our spirits to be made into His righteousness. This is where we are made perfect, because the Lord Jesus is our mediator of a new and better covenant, as we are covered with His precious shed blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

What a contrast a contrast there is between the old and new covenant.

In Mount Sinai there was no way to get this close to the Lord; there was a wide space between God and these people. Now in Mount Zion everything encourages us to come boldly into the throne room of Papa God’s holy of holies presence.

Back at Mount Sinai, the scene was so frightening with all the fire, darkness, and the Lord’s audible voice it just totally freaked those people out.

But here in Mount Zion, we experienced the glorious light of the Holy City, the bride of Christ which is the New Jerusalem; the place where Papa God dwells with his covenant people forever. No more tears, no more sorrow, as in Heaven where nothing can die because of the Giver of Life. Putting back things the way He designed them to be before sin entered into the picture.

Eternity starts now as a born again spirit –filled believer and worshipping the Lord is part of that.  It is a constant state of being in real love. When you fall in love with someone you just think about them all the time; you are overwhelmed in love, pure real love, Christ like love all the time. It is overwhelming holy joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength!

Praise the Lord and rejoice again I say rejoice.

Back in Mount Sinai it was like a solemn religious gathering, which came with all sorts of spirits of fear. But now, we as believers have Mount Zion the awesome joyful assembly place of those whose names are forever written in the Lamb’s book of life.  You ought to be more excited here than winning the state lottery.

Mount Sinai was a picture of the inapproachability of Papa God’s holy presence. But we clearly have an awesome picture here of Mount Zion giving us full access into the presence of Papa God through our mediator the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Now I say all this so you can really think this thing through about our fellowshipping here. What we are doing as a body of believers?

I personally find that since the Lord made me a musician first before he called me into the 5 fold ministry that when I am able to play and worship him first I am able to connect even more with any messages he wants to bring forth in me to share with his people. At other times as he will do with you he may just give you a message to convey to someone or a group of people, where ever you may be, without a musical score being played or performed.

I want us to be able to fully grasp this thing called worship. It is a state of mind; more than a state of sound.  We as a local fellowship, a body of believers need to really be able to have an authentic time of being in the presence of the Lord all the time; that we experience the invisible and the visible manifestation of the Lord working through us. That we are able to embrace the Lord now and forever and all the people of Papa God for all time walking in Christ’s love.

Because truly we are part of that heavenly throng that even now is worshiping before the throne of Papa God. We actually get to be part of that right now! It’d be like an amazing simulcast of every orchestra and choir all playing and singing together all round this earth at the same time they are performing in Heaven.

Truly I am telling you the truth right now when we sing praise unto the Lord there are angels here in this place with us just as there are angels in Heaven. We are worshiping with these magnificent angelic creatures before whom we would be tempted to fall down and worship, if we could see them, but they would tell us not to that we are only to worship the Lord.

In Hebrews 11 we read about people just like us whose spirits were made of the righteousness, made-perfect.  We have people like the Father of Nations, Abraham; the Lord’s man Moses; the prophet Samuel, and King David all who did some goofy things yet became mighty men of God,  because they fully trusted Papa God. They were given certain powers that stopped lion’s mouths and caused evil foreign armies to run away from them. Think about this. We are actually worshiping along with them.

We also have those martyred saints as well those faithful men and women who endured torture and still refused deliverance if it meant compromising the Gospel; the ones who were stoned to death or were executed because they refused to deny the Lord. Along with the rest who endured all those hardships of poverty and persecution for their faith so that they might receive something better.

They reverenced Papa God and they feared sinning more than they feared what man could do to them.

When we worship the Lord we are joining them as well before the throne of Papa God.

We have come to the Lord Jesus whose sprinkled blood covers all our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.  In Hebrews 12:24 “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”

You see when Cain killed his brother Abel, Abel’s blood cried out from the earth for the Lord’s judgment on Cain, but now the Lord Jesus’ blood cries out for mercy for us. As we gather here and worship the Lord it causes the evil spirits to depart. They just can’t handle being here as we worship the Lord. It’s unbearable for them; unless you are just giving the Lord lip service then I suppose the demons just sing along with you as you are not really connecting with the Gospel truth.

When we enter into the gates of the Lord do we come with thanksgiving in our hearts? When we enter into the music are we concerned about the song or who the song is for? Are we concerned about the musicians or is this a boring routine?  In fact do we perceive something was beyond all the surface stuff here?

Have we really entered into that place of worshipping in our spirits and in truth? I am just asking. Only you and the Lord know for sure.

But I do believe there should be one genuine collective move in our spirits so there is a real manifestation of all God’s children that are presently now worshiping before the throne of God together whether here on earth or in Heaven.  How else should we consider by grace you are saved.

Ephesians 2:6And hath raised [us] up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”

We have this awesome privilege of entering into the Throne room of the King of Kings.

Romans 5:1-2 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:                                  2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

This brothers and sisters is the reality of the awesome new covenant we have and why we should be in a place of worship.  As we renew our minds to the washing of the Word of God this releases all those right chemicals we need to stay healthy and whole; as every thought we have probably releases thousands of chemicals that travel up and down our blood stream. This should be reason enough to give you thousands of reasons to rejoice, to praise the Lord, and to sing and dance before Him.

Well that would also mean that the demons assigned to try and tempt you into self-pity and selfishness and despair do not have a chance with you.

If we  are really here waiting for the Shekinah glory of the Lord to overtake us, this is not about just gathering each week with friends or just about any artistic preferences as to what form of musical shape we take, or even if we all really sing together. It is that as a child of God we are here to enter together into His presence which is really our calling as the church; the body of Christ. As we get together and begin playing and singing, we are truly joining in the glorious worship that is taking place forever before the throne of God.

When we really consider all this it is like getting saved or prayed for to be healed. The Word of God is the Word of God regardless of how we may feel at any given moment or who leads worship; what songs we sing or play, or how we think worship went or should have gone. There is something incredibility wonderful happening that is happening in the invisible and eternal places for us as we worship. This is another reason people have been healed this way.
I believe that worship and healing are very much linked together at times, if you are truly seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  There are so many testimonies out there of people being healed during times of worship physically and emotionally. Yet I want to share with you, it up to the Lord, how and when as he has brought us a number of ways to receive healing and miracles. It’s his desire we that we stay in health and prosper.

Miracles and healing recorded in the Bible in the lives of apostles seemed to occur when Papa God manifested the gifts of healing and miracles. We do not often read about the praise band playing in the back ground. Maybe it was not so much when people were praising the Lord. It seems more that it was people praising Papa God after the miracle rather than before, which is the purpose of a sign and a “wonder” isn’t it!

In James 5:13-16 “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. (Does that suggest you are so full of joy you need to express it in song?)                                                       14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:                                                       15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.                                                                             16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

I would say again seems mostly Papa God heals in answer to prayer and obedience to his Word, more than in response to praise. Yet we are to also put on the sacrifice of praise. That means to be praising the Lord even when you don’t feel up to it. Why? Because it will release the right chemicals in your body to help you recover and feel up to it.

Hebrew 13:15-16 “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.                                                                   16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

Again you must be a doer of the Word; stay in faith no matter how things may look. Because it’s so easy for the Lord to do miracles, as nothing is impossible with Him.

Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.            2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Can anyone see the link here between our body and surrendering it to His mercy, grace, and love? As an act of worship to him and choosing to let Papa God transform and renew our mind. We can imagine things the way he does rather than the way the devil is trying to get us to imagine it.

Our soul is part of our mind, emotions, and will.  Healing and prospering is part of the price of salvation. The Lord Jesus paid an untold price just for you because none of us could ever pay that price as you know.

Isaiah tells us that ‘by His stripes we are healed’; past tense.  What the Lord Jesus did on the cross already paid for your healing so you don’t have to.

When we worship him by surrendering our body to him or allowing the Lord to renew our mind and bring healing or restoration to us, it is pleasing to Papa God as we just read from the Word.

The Lord our God wants us to be made whole 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.                                      24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”

It will happen in his perfect timing. The Lord is completely dependable.  If he said it, he’ll do it. Because he means what he says and says what he means.

The Lord God has a number of names giving us some understanding of who he is. In Exodus 15:26, God calls himself Jehovah Rapha. That word Rapha means to restore, heal or perform a creative cure.

Dr. Messiah Yeshua the greatest physician ever and always is the one who heals you.  I found no evidence anywhere that he has ever changed his mind!

When the Lord Jesus brings us healing, emotionally, physically or spiritually our response is to worship him. Just like that fellow he of healed of leprosy that threw himself at Jesus’ feet thanking and praising God.  Or the fellow who was blind from birth right after he was healed and could now see the Lord, he worshipped Jesus.

When we are worshipping him in song we are declaring the truth about the Lord Jesus; about the Father; about the Holy Spirit. We are lifting up our arms as we are totally surrendering ourselves to him. As we worship our Lord Jesus, and declare the truth about him, the enemy hates it and departs from us. I like that arrangement.

Worship is what caused Lucifer to sin and rebel against the Lord our God. Mr. Lucifer became so jealous of Papa God with the billions of angelic beings and all the heavenly hosts adoring and worshipping him. Mr. Lucifer just freaked out and wanted to be the one who received all of heaven’s adoration. He wanted all of heaven, including Papa God, to bow down to him.  What a spirit of jerkiness was that?

We read in Matthew 4:9 “And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”

Because at that moment in time Mr. Lucifer now called Satan was prince of this world because of how he was able to deceive Adam and Eve into giving him the earth to rule. But as you know after the resurrection the Lord Jesus took those keys back and gave them to us. That key works with love and forgiveness.

Matthew 16:19 “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

But still the battle rages on for your very souls. The real issue here in worship is not if and when we will worship or how we will worship, but rather whom we will worship. Truthfully everyone will worship someone or something. It appears it is built into our DNA, even into the fiber of stones. All of Papa God’s creations are designed to worship.

Our Lord is a jealous God and he will not share us with demons. Just as if my wife was having an affair with someone I would have a difficult time maintaining any intimacy with her. So it is with the Lord. To worship Papa God through the Lord Jesus is simply that we deliberately make it a daily moment to moment choice to really love Him and to honor His will. To acknowledge him in all things; every day so we can devote ourselves to living in his perfect will.

How is that possible to live according to his perfect will I can hear you asking? Because it even tells us 1 John 1:8 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the Truth is not in us."

Even as we try and walk this narrow path, which is not a tight rope by the way, we may not always live perfectly in Papa God's will. Mostly likely we will say or do something and disappoint him now and then, because we are susceptible sin on this earth.

Praise the Lord and worship him for his mercy, grace, and love. For the Lord Jesus has paid the price for all our punishment; for all of our mistakes so we don't have to. We simply accept his suffering and death on that cross as the free gift to us that pays the penalty for all of our sins.

If after you have been saved, forgiven, and washed clean of all unrighteousness and you find you have continued to sin again, go again before his throne and ask forgiveness and he will forgive you.

You might do that several times a day. But so be it. Stay humble before the Lord and he will raise you up.

James 4:10Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”

Something Mr. Lucifer would not do, but something you can do.

Let us pray now because we do fully believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was raised from the dead and is sitting at the right hand of Papa God in Heaven interceding for us here. He is preparing a place for all of us who believe, to spend eternity with him in a paradise that we cannot really even begin to imagine how wonderful it will be for all eternity.

Papa God, we come to you now in Jesus Christ of Nazareth’s all mighty name and ask your forgiveness for all the evil, toxic and wrong thinking we have entertained in our minds. We come before you on behalf of our families, husbands, wives, children, grandchildren, parents, in laws, and friends.

We come to stand in the gap for all those who are part of our lives and for their generations. Thank you for allowing us the awesome privilege of partnering with you now and for bringing healing and freedom to us, because we chose this day to receive your forgiveness and your deliverance. Amen.

I want you to take a moment and examine your hearts with the Holy Ghost that there is no spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, anger and hatred, violence or murder towards you or anyone else.

If someone comes to mind I want you to choose to forgive them now and tell the Lord that you do so both invisible Kingdoms will hear you make this proclamation.

Please repeat after me from your heart.

Papa God, I choose to forgive from my heart, myself and you and any other person that I have ever been bitter against or have been unforgiving of. I repent and renounce in my life on both sides of my generations all the way back to Adam; for entertaining any sin of bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, anger, hatred, violence, murder, and suicide.

I repent and renounce all spirits of bondage, hostility, of the thief that comes to kill, steal, and destroy, murder and suicide, the scapegoat, spirits of unworthiness, and every spirit of physical, verbal emotional, and sexual abuse… all slander, cursing, profanity and every idle word that I have ever spoken. Thank you for forgiving me now and I accept your forgiveness.

Now allow me to pray for you

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and in his power and authority I speak directly to every unclean spirit just named. I speak to every spirit of bitterness and unforgivness, resentment, retaliation, anger, hatred, and violence, and murder, bondage, strife, to the thief who comes to kill, steal and destroy, to every tormenting spirit, spirits of death and suicide, scapegoats, spirits of unworthiness, spirits of verbal, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, all cursing, slander, vanity, all curses and all vows, all sickness and all disease.

I speak to directly to all generational iniquities, and every curse and vow, all idle words, coming out of programming and defense mechanisms, survival techniques, false pathways of coping coming out of programming and coming out of traumas.

I take authority over all the works of the enemy and I bind and break your powers and I cancel your assignments. I command you to come up an out of the lives of these loved ones.

Go now; go directly into the abyss in the almighty name of my Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The Word of God is clear that we have been given a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
