Commitment to Worship

I shall worship the Lord my God, and Him only shall I serve. (Matthew 4:10)

I am a true worshipper, and worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
(John 4:23)

I shall love the Lord my God with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my strength, and with all my mind, and my neighbour as myself. (Luke 10:27)

Whether I eat or drink, or whatever I do, I do all to the glory of God.

I return to the LORD and obey His voice and the LORD my God will make me abundantly prosperous in all the work of my hand, in EVERYTHING. For the LORD takes delight in prospering me. Deut 30.9

My God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Php 4.19

The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. Ps 23.1

I am God’s servant – so, the Lord takes pleasure in my prosperity. Ps 35.27

God wants me to prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. 3John 1.2

The Lord my God teaches me to profit, and leads me by the way I should go. Is 48.17

I must be slow to anger.

I must also be quick to listen and slow to speak.

I will be slow to anger.

I will be quick to listen.

I will be slow to speak. (James 1:19)

I will not be so foolish as to get annoyed. (Proverbs 12:16)

It takes great understanding to be slow to anger. I lift up my voice for this understanding. I will not have a hasty temper, so as to exalt folly. (Proverbs 14:29; 2:1-4)

Anger is a work of the flesh. But I belong to Jesus and have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
(Galatians 5:20,24)

I must answer softly and not speak harshly.

Self Denial Confessions

I desire to come after Jesus, and therefore I must deny myself, and take up my cross and follow Jesus. (Matthew 16:24)

I do not desire to save my own self-life.

I lose my soul-life for Jesus and will find it. (Matthew 16:25)

I am not ashamed of Jesus nor His Words. (Mark 8:38)

Jesus says, “Let Michael deny himself. [insert your name here]” (Luke 9:23)

I must take up my cross DAILY. (Luke 9:23)

I offer my body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God. This is my reasonable service.

Confessions on Death to Sin

I reckon I’m really dead to sin. # Rom 6.11

My old nature was crucified with Jesus, so I am dead to myself also.

I reckon I’m really alive to God, in Jesus Christ my Lord. # Rom 6.11

I do not let sin rule in my mortal body, to obey it in its lusts. # Rom 6.12

I do not yield my members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin. I rather yield myself to God and my members as instruments of righteousness to God. # Rom 6.12-6.13

Sin shall not Lord it over me, for I am not under the law, but under grace.

Putting off the Old Man

I have put off the old man with its deeds. (Colossians 3:9)

I reckon myself to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Jesus Christ my Lord. (Romans 6:11)

I am Christ’s and have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Therefore I no longer have desire for any kind of impurity or sinful behaviour. (Galatians 5:19, 24)

I have been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20)

I have died, and my life is hidden with Christ in God.

How to Overcome Temptation

Satan will try to get me away from being filled with the Spirit, by offering in my mind temptations which appeal to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes or the pride of life.

What should I do when I am aware of temptations?

1. Look to Jesus Christ. Try to force the mind off the temptation by looking to the Lord and His Word.

2. Immediately seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

3. Endeavour, if possible, to flee temptation.

4. Pray for the Lord not to lead me into temptation.

5. Use spiritual weapons where possible – speak the Word, praise God etc.

Confessions of Victory in Spiritual Warfare

Jesus bore my sicknesses and carried my pains, and with His stripes I am healed. Is 53.4 53.5

God has delivered me from the power of darkness and has conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Col 1.13 1.14

In righteousness I shall be established. I shall be far from oppression, for I shall not fear.

Is 54.14

Now thanks be to God who always leads me in triumph in Christ. 2Cor 2.14

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, to destroy the works of the devil.

I continue to behold as in a mirror with unveiled face the glory of the Lord and am constantly being transformed into His very own image in ever-increasing splendour and from one degree of glory to another. 2Cor 3.18

God has shone in my heart the light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. 2Cor 4.6

I always carry about in my body the dying of the Lord Jesus, so that the resurrection life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in my body. 2Cor 4.10
