Father, all that I speak I must speak with love. When speaking to people help me to be patient and kind. I must not be arrogant or boastful or critical of others when I talk with people. I should not speak rudely or for my own self interest. Help me to not get irritated and speak out of anger – ever; neither to speak out evil suspicions or out of hurt. I must not speak with pleasure concerning sin, rather I will rejoice in the truth. I will cover sins. My speaking is to be full of faith and express the best opinion I can of others. Help me to speak with confident unwavering expectation of good, and not to complain or talk of quitting. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
I pray Father that I do not let any unwholesome word depart from my mouth, but only such a word as is good for building others up according to the need of the moment, that it may impart grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29)
I pray that all my speaking, and all my operating in the spiritual gifts be done for the edification of others, especially the church. (1 Corinthians 14:26)
Help me Lord to speak unto men for their edification, exhortation and comfort. (1 Corinthians 14:3)
Give me grace Lord to minister the Spirit, to minister life. Life is in the power of my tongue. Help me to not speak death over people. (Proverbs 18:21)
Lord you say that the mouth of a righteous man is a well of life. In Christ I am totally righteous before God, so let my mouth be a well of life. (Proverbs 10:11; 2 Corithians 5:21)
Lord I pray that through your righteousness in me, my lips will feed and guide many. (Proverbs 10:21)
