Leaders – Stir up the Gift of Evangelism

Christian leaders should lead the way in evangelism, even if this sometimes means suffering. The spirit of fear works in opposition to the spread of the gospel. It doesn’t come from God. This spirit comes from the devil’s kingdom and we need to resist it. It can be tempting to back down. But if we have this gift, we are encouraged to stir it up and use it. There are many gifts of the Spirit that work together with the ministry of evangelism.

There will be suffering in the path of doing this ministry of snatching souls out of Satan’s Kingdom through the preaching of the gospel. We are not called to draw back and avoid this suffering. Paul told Timothy to “share in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God”.
