George Ritchie talks about an NDE in which he met the Lord Jesus Christ. He says, “The Light of Jesus had entered my life and filled it completely, and the idea of being separated from Him was more than I could bear.” (as quoted in the book – Imagine Heaven, by John Burke).
Think about those words. I think about it. And it makes me realise, that even with all the conscious awareness of Jesus I have had, and all I have known until now, I still know VERY LITTLE of Jesus. Because if I knew Him like THAT, then the idea of being separated from Him at all would be unbearable for me, and by implication, the idea that ANYONE would be separated from Him would also be unbearable.
I think if we have this kind of love, we will devote ourselves to fasting and prayer as much as we can – just so one more person might see Him, or know Him, or be saved for eternity, or be healed, or be delivered from evil spirits.
