BENEFITS of the Fear of the Lord
O fear the LORD, you His saints – revere and worship Him! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship him with godly fear. Psalm 34:9
The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. Psalm 25:14
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7
The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. Psalm 147:11
Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on the earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in His house, and His righteousness endures forever. Psalm 112
Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. Psalm 128.1
The fear of the LORD leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil. Proverbs 19:23
By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches and honour and life. Proverbs 22:44

HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO FEAR THE LORD?
Do not let your heart envy sinners, but in the fear of the LORD continue all day long. Proverbs 23:17
Better is a little with the fear of the LORD, than great treasure with trouble. Proverbs 15:16
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30
WE ARE COMMANDED TO FEAR THE LORD
Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints! There is no want to those who fear him. Psalm 34:9
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those who are around Him, Psalm 89:7
For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. Psalm 96:4
Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before him, all the earth. Psalm 96:9
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. Proverbs 3:7,8
Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD. Proverbs 1:28-29
Make vows to the LORD your God, and pay them; Let all who are around him bring presents to him who ought to be feared. Psalm 76:11
RELATIONSHIP TO WISDOM
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do his commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility. Proverbs 15:33
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
OVERCOMING SIN AND SICKNESS THROUGH THE FEAR OF THE LORD
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and healing to your bones. Proverbs 3:7
In mercy and truth, atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the LORD one departs from evil. Proverbs 16:6
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, and the perverse mouth, I hate. Proverbs 8:13
He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD, but he who is perverse in his ways despises him. Proverbs 14:2

HOW TO GET THE FEAR OF THE LORD
Teach me your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear your name. Psalm 86:11
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
Keep your tongue from speaking evil, and your lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. Psalm 34:11-16
My son, if you RECEIVE MY WORDS, and TREASURE MY COMMANDS WITHIN YOU, so that you INCLINE YOUR EAR TO WISDOM, and APPLY YOUR HEART TO UNDERSTANDING; Yes, if you CRY OUT FOR DISCERNMENT, and LIFT UP YOUR VOICE FOR UNDERSTANDING, if you SEEK HER AS SILVER, and SEARCH FOR HER AS FOR HIDDEN TREASURES;
Then YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF THE LORD, and FIND THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.
