I grew up in an alcoholic home. My dad was a violent alcoholic and my mom was a mess because of it. I won’t go into details because it would take too long and there are many people who have also lived through what I have. My marriage was a complete mess too. We were both control freaks trying to control one another. He was a major partier and I only did once in a while (after I had kids when we were still together). He cheated on my constantly and made me feel like I was worthless and all those other things that guys make you feel like when they want to control you.
My pastor said in his sermon last Sunday, “If you think you’re doing OK, take some time to evaluate…you probably aren’t.” This is the absolute truth. Last year my wife thought we were doing just fine. We thought we were “good” people. Productive members of society. We thought we were entitled to certain things. Truth is, we weren’t so good. We were leading lives that couldn’t be pleasing to God at all. Not only were we not the people we thought we were, we were, and are, completely undeserving of God’s grace and redemption found through Christ…but we were offered that gift anyway.
“How many times do you have to touch rock bottom before you drown? Either pull me up or put me out.” This used to be a saying of mine as I was all too familiar with rock bottom. Most of my life was like a dark pit where I painfully clawed my way to the top, only to slide back down again. I am 33 years old today and I recently found my Saviour, Jesus Christ. He has given me such love that I’ve never felt, a peace I could have never imagined, an ecstatic joy that has flooded my whole being and a brand new life.

This is a story of God’s works – mighty, wonderful and mysterious – in obedience to the command of JESUS CHRIST to me saying: “Go and testify what I have done for you.”
One summer day, when I was a child, I went to stay with my my cousin, who lived in a village in Manitoba (Canada), and she took me to her church. For the first time in my life I went to Sunday School and heard about Jesus and His love for me and that I had to make a choice to accept him in order to be a child of God.

This is my story of how Jesus brought me through my sickness. He lifted me!!! I never knew I really had a serious problem. I started having pain. I was told the pain was from my two Cesareans that I had. The pain got worse and worse. It was unbearable! The pain went on since 1995.
This is my testimony to the living Lord Jesus Christ which has been long over due but only recently have I realized the importance of a testimony. I belong to a Roman Catholic family (third of five children).
