Benefits of Fasting and Prayer
For those who inquire as to whether fasting and
prayer may be profitable for them, I want to explain in
detail how fasting and prayer can benefit a Christian’s
life. There are many misunderstandings concerning
fasting and prayer; therefore, many do not fully
understand Its true meaning and relationship to the
Christian life.
Practical faith is rooted and grounded in the Scriptures. The Bible shows us the basic pattern for serving God and teaches us the proper approach to fasting.
FASTING AND PRAYER IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
God's chosen people, Israel, always had a special relationship with God. Israel's history is exemplary of men today. In times of ease God is often ignored or forsaken, but in times of distress and difficulty we earnestly seek His face.
Christianity is a religion of personal experiences. It is a spiritual movement, not a lot of theories or "isms." It is a movement of life, truth, the Holy Spirit, and love. The important thing is to have a personal, real experience. Through the right relationship with God we can recognize and understand the Lord's will. There are many ways in which we can experience God's blessings. I recommend fasting and prayer as the most powerful of these.

Hi. My name is Raeann. I am a 17 year old girl that used to be extremely shy. I attend a decent sized church, and in church I was usually just a spectator. I would never participate or worship God. The most I would do is clap; and even that was pushing limits for me. I was more than just quite. I was silent. I would not say a word to anyone when I was much younger. I would just smile when people talked to me , I would never answer them. I would nod my head when it was necessary when they asked me a question. hello everyone: my name is misslady and i am new to this site. i would like to share my testimony because my god is so good, and it means so much to me that he did this for me. you see, i once was involved in drugs and alcohol. i used drugs and alcohol everyday of my life, and i would lie to get money to make sure i had my fix for the day. i lost a lot of weight, so much that i could not stand to look at myself in the mirror. i was miserable, i mean really miserable everyday of my life.

You see, I didn’t read the “Bible” it was simply a reference to me after God spoke the words.
“Who will fight for my children Isreal”
I saw the Lord say at the head of the long table.
“Feed my children Israel”
The Lord said to me, and I wasn’t asleep.
The point is, God Looooves his people, & his people is Israel, and that will never change.
This is a short version of my testimony:
At 14 was born again. A year later I backslid which lasted for approx. 10 years. The night my life changed – 4am in the morning, the Lord put a thought in my head: “if you die tonight where are you going to go?”
I answered: “straight to hell”. Then the Lord put another thought in my head: “It will have to be an all or nothing decision, not half hearted!!”

I had always wanted to be debt-free before marriage, but it seemed my debt got so large that it no longer seemed possible, especially with the housing crisis because I owed so much more on my home than it was worth.
I am giving this testimony, so that many may increase in faith as I did. About three weeks ago I took my child for an HIV test. My Child had been having unprotected sex without my knowledge and I wanted to make sure my Baby was ok. So we went for STD and HIV test just to make sure. Nearly, a week after the test, I recieved the worst call of my life.On my way to work, the Dr. stated that the the HIV test for my child was postive and I needed to take my only child to the infectious disease doctor, I nearly fainted. In an instand my focus and life changed. I went into prayer mode right away.
