Ceasing from Self

I enter God’s rest and cease from my own human labours, just as God rested from those labours peculiarly His own. Heb 4.10 Jn 5.17

Jesus Christ’s Example:

The Son is able to do nothing from Himself – of his own accord; but he is able to do only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way. As I live like Jesus, I do nothing from myself but only what I see the Lord doing. Jn 5.19

I have never spoken on My own authority or of My own accord or self-appointed, but the Father who has sent Me has Himself given Me orders what to say and what to tell. Jn 12.49

And I know that His commandment is eternal life. So whatever I speak, I am saying what My Father has told Me to say and in accordance with His instructions. Jn 12.50
