And it came about one day when Jesus had come back to His own city Capernaum that He was teaching; and many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, even near the door. There were some Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
Jesus went to the sheep market in Jerusalem, which is right near the pool called Bethesda (Jn. 5:1-16). The word “Bethesda” means, the house of mercy, but to many it was a house of misery. In verse 1 John links this miracle with the healing of the nobleman’s son in the previous chapter. Having dealt there with human doubt, Jesus now prepares to deal with human disability.
1. A Sad Group Of People
A group of sick and sad people were around the pool. Perhaps, they were rejected by doctors and forsaken by the relatives and the society.
1 Corinthians 14:1 tells us to literally burn with desire for spiritual gifts. Are you burning with desire for these things? Am I?
Sorry, but if your emotions are not involved in this quest, you are not fulfilling this Word yet.
We need to crave to know God, to burn with desire to know His voice, to WANT the supernatural revelations from God.

As we get into “God’s Commission to Pastors” we are going to examine it through the passages in Ezekiel 34. First let’s define our terms.
What is a “commission”?
Commission — 1. the act of committing or giving in charge. 2. an authoritative order, charge, or direction. 3. authority granted for a particular action or function. 18. to authorize, send on a mission. [Source Random House Collegiate Dictionary]
What is a Pastor?
God does not give people cancer. Cancer happens because of toxic overload in the system messing with body cells to pervert them into cancer. Toxicity is caused by environmental factors, poor diet, smoking, bad thinking and bad attitudes – such as bitterness and unforgiveness. Demons can get involved also.
The supernatural way of dealing with cancer is to command it to die and to cast the spirits of cancer out in the name of Jesus. That is great if you have the faith to do that, and the Lord is leading you so. You can speak to the mountain of cancer and command it to move.
You may have heard of the term “inner healing”. This term means different things to different people. The term “healing” is biblical but the term “inner healing” is nowhere found in the Bible. So when someone proposes ministering “inner healing” to you I suggest you first find out what they mean by “inner healing” and what methods they propose to us in order to do this ministry. Not all methods that people use are biblical. Some techniques that people use are rooted more in secular psychology, mysticism or even the occult.
