I have found a very interesting online edition of an early 4th century text by Eusebius Pamphili, bishop of Caesaria. It is an intellectual defense of Christianity, and we can learn a lot from it even today.
Chapter 4
Introduction
The word Messiah is derived from the Hebrew word mashach which is used of anointing. In Isaiah 61:1 this word teaches that the anointing was a symbol of the Holy Spirit. By which Jesus was anointed for the ministry and life. Lk. 4:18; Acts. 10:38.
Birth of Jesus
1. The prophecy of his birth. Isa. 9:6
Introduction
The most remarkable and glorious incident that is going to take place soon on this earth is the Second Coming of Christ. Out of the 260 chapters in the New Testament, the Second Coming of Christ is mentioned 318 times. The last promise and the last prayer in the Bible is also related to the Second Coming of Christ.
