There are powerful promises in the Bible that say that if we keep steadfastly listening to the Word of God, we will be healed, and God will give us success in doing what He wants us to do. We should go after these promises.
The validity of these promises for us today is confirmed by 2 Corinthians 1:20 which tells us that IN CHRIST (that is, in connection and obedience to Him) all the promises of God are yes and amen. Not “yes” and “no” – which would lead us to be unsure if God had promised us anything – and give no basis for faith to us! This doesn’t mean that the promises of God will manifest immediately if we believe. Sometimes they do, when God is working like that. But many times, as we know, we are required to wait patiently, sometimes in suffering, but still in hope, confidence and trust, until the desired healing in our bodies or change in our circumstances manifests itself.
Like Exodus 15:26, Proverbs 4:20-22; Psalm 1:3, Joshua 1:8 and others.
