9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
Colossians 1:9-12
Pray for Yourself
Father I ask in Jesus’ name that I may be FILLED with the knowledge of your will in ALL wisdom and spiritual understanding.
I ask for this filling of knowledge and wisdom so that I may walk worthy of the Lord Jesus.
I pray that through this wisdom and knowledge of God’s will I will FULLY please Jesus.
Give me wisdom so that I might be FRUITFUL in EVERY good work.
Grant that I may INCREASE in the experiential, personal knowledge of God.
Grant that I might be STRENGTHENED with ALL MIGHT.
Grant that this strengthening will be according to YOUR GLORIOUS POWER.
Grant that through this divine strength I will have all patience and longsuffering with JOY as I give thanks to you Father.
Thank you Father that you have qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. You have given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness through that knowledge of Jesus (2 Peter 1:3,4).
11 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)
I pray always.
I pray always that God would count me and others worthy of this calling.
I pray always that God would fulfill the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power.
I pray that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in me, in others and us in Him, according to the mighty grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding[c] being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
I do not cease to pray for others, and for myself.
Father, I pray that you may give me the spirit of wisdom.
I pray that you may give me the spirit of revelation in the knowledge of Jesus.
I pray that you may enlighten the eyes of my understanding.
I pray that I may know what is the hope of Your calling for me.
I pray that I may know what are the glorious riches of Your inheritance in me and the saints.
I pray that I may know what is the exceeding greatness of Your power in me.
I pray that I may know the power that raised Christ from the dead.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11)
I pray that my love and the love of the people of God will abound still more and more.
I pray this love will be in knowledge and all discernment.
I pray that I may approve the things that are excellent.
I pray that I may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ.
I pray that I and God’s people may be filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ.
I pray that what we all do will be to the glory and praise of God.
