What to do when you have done all you know to do?
“Why do you Irish always answer a question with a question?” asked President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

We thank you Papa God for this day. We want to come now and enter into your courts with thanksgiving in our hearts and rejoice in your presence. We thank you for the awesome privilege of partnering with you and invite you Holy Spirit to come and take us over in this meeting and in this day. We give you all our praise and worship and we love you. We ask for your blessings to overtake us and chase us down. We come here Lord seeking you and your truth, for answers to live by, for answers to better understand what we can do to walk in the promises and the more abundant life you give us.
Right now we bind and break the power of every unclean spirit from interfering with us in any shape, form, or manner. Right now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I take authority over the devil that has been ruling your spirits, your souls, minds, and bodies.
I take authority over Satan and his entire invisible evil kingdom right now and I release your spirits to the love of God. I release your minds and bodies to the peace of God Almighty.
We believe that Jesus loves us for the Bible tells us so and we also know from personal encounters and the signs and wonders, healings, and miracles that follow us.
We ask you Holy Spirit to come now and teach us more of your ways so we can better learn to put on the mindset of Christ this day; that we can do what you have called us together to do. That signs and wonders will confirm and follow us as we continually line up more with you each day, putting on the mindset of Christ as we are instructed to do.
We are so grateful for your mercy, grace, and love and we love you forever, Lord. Amen.
We have talked and explored what the Bible says about Angels and Demons recently. I want to go into this a bit deeper now and explore is there a purpose the Lord is allowing Satan and demons to continue as they do?
When we are walking this narrow path and doing all we know to do, why are there still places where we somehow allow the devil in? I thought for a long time I must be immune to the devil now because I went for about 7 years without any real attacks by spirits of infirmity, except for maybe a common cold once a year that lasted only a few days. I recall thinking this is amazing after being sickly most of my life. I thought that as long as you walk closely with the Lord the devil can not touch you. Then some stuff happened that caused me to a come to a place where I had to be re-adjusted in my theology somewhat.
Somehow I just did not consider it through enough that in this world the Lord said there would be troubles but to be of good cheer because He will show us the way out and back into peace and health. You know none of us has all the answers this side of Heaven we just learn as we grow.
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
There are times we may face sorrow, or accidents, and grief.
Even moments that can seem unbearable. We see the Apostle had them.
The victory of Christ over the world and the victory of born again believers through His victory are one of our favorite battle cries. We shall overcome! However, the disciples seemed to go back and forth from moments of brilliance where they make a bold statement in faith and saw answered prayers. Then they also had moments where it seems they entered into weakness and confusion and they did not know what to do next.
Jesus rebuked them at times for their lack of faith. Like when they could not cast the demon out of the lunatic boy. The Disciples showed their lack of faith, when they abandoned Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. In their lack of faith they were also afraid to stand with him at his trial. Only the Apostle John is recorded as standing there at Calvary while the rest of the Disciples ran and locked themselves into their room.
It’s the truth isn’t it? We do not like to consider that aspect of the Apostles. They sure seem a lot like some of us then. It’s unfortunately true that sometimes we mix our faith with a spirit of doubt and unbelief; instead of mixing our faith with our gifts and the Gospel.
Many of us still have struggles to go through. The best I know to do is just be honest with our Lord and tell it like it is. We would do well to plead like the boy’s father.
In Mark 9:24 that boy’s father pleaded with Jesus who said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Isn’t that truly the real issue here? I know I believe, but I am looking at a situation and seeing through a worldly perspective here instead of from a Heavenly perspective.
Here is when we need to be an over comer. We know the truth and the truth will make us free. While we sometimes allow evil spirits to give us their imaginations and then we release all these chemicals into our blood stream which are fear based and soon we feel overcome by our doubts and discouragements and situations.
Wait a minute here, the Lord Jesus assured us that He has overcome all our enemies already. Jesus tells us in Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
So why do we ever entertain spirits of doubt and unbelief enter into a lack of faith? The fact that Jesus has indeed overcome this world should always strengthen us in our time of need.
Look at the following verses:
1 John 5:4-8 “They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
So we need to overcome by keeping our eyes on the Lord Jesus.
Rev 2:7 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
Rev 3:21 “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
1 John 2:13 “I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
Mat 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Faith in Jesus; what an amazing gift is our faith; what a marvelous gift from Papa God, it is listed in 1 Corinthians 12 as the gift of faith.
Even though we sometimes get it mixed with spirits of doubt and unbelief, we know what the Bible says and that trumps any unbelief every time. We are going to do all we know to do and then we are going to keep standing because we will get the victory. We have the ability through Jesus to overcome all obstacles in our life.
In this world there are good times and there are those times in life when we face challenges, sometime life changing events. Sometime we may even feel all alone and there does not seem to be anyone there to comfort and encourage us through those difficult times. Nevertheless, our Savior the Lord Jesus gives us this awesome promise in:
Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Well that pretty much sums it up. You can not be alone even if you feel you are. Papa God is still watching over His word to perform it.
Equally important the Lord promises and assures us that these things
cannot rob us of the joy we have in Him, for in the words of the Apostle Paul:
Roman 8:37-39 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
We are “more than conquerors”. Why isn’t being a conqueror enough? Why would I need to be more than a conqueror? Isn’t just being a conqueror enough in itself?
The Lord does not want any of us to perish. He has foreordained, determined, and predestinated that all should come to salvation. However, not everyone who is called accepts His invitation. Only those who do become justified and glorified who according to His purpose meet the terms and conditions of the Gospel. Everything ultimately depends on meeting these conditions.
We already know that Papa God is for us and will freely give us all things; that He is the one who will judge us and that He sent Jesus and the Holy Spirit to us to help us; that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ; that we are more than conquerors over all our enemies through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Now they way I see it, if we are born again, we want to please the Lord and do what is right in His sight.
However, being more than conquerors seems in the natural that some people are able to conquer a “moment”. Or we can conquer a “situation’.
For example some men really have to struggle with pornography which runs rampant in our society. Which means their chemistry is being manipulated and causing them to feel as horny as a stallion in a herd of mares. I always thought it strange when a mare is coming into season she often tries to kick the stallion. A born again man or women can in essence conquer a moment and turn away from their fleshy desires.
But, that still does not always end up with being more than conquerors.
That seed of sexual lust or desire has been planted now.
A man or woman may take their thoughts captive and not allow their mind to wander extensively in those places and say they think to themselves we have conquered that moment. Only a few days later the temptation returns and they give in. Then those evil spirits of accusation and guilt come in like a flood after they went down under in their own lustful thoughts, actions, and perversions.
So how does one become more than a conqueror? Do we find another rule to live by? Seems so many people search the scriptures, not really searching for answers, but searching for another rule to abide by, to add to the list of “do’s or don’ts”. We can get legalistic making it all black and white. But the Lord gave us a rainbow of colours and told us where sin abounds his mercy and grace abounds more.
How many people are really searching for the root of who they are in scriptures? Right after it says “we are more then conquerors” the truth becomes obvious in the following words – “Through Him who loved us”.
So I would say it this way, stop being so hard on yourself. Jesus still loves you. None us has it all figured out yet, just keep pressing in and seeking the Lord and His Kingdom and righteousness.
There is no pill we can take except the Gospel; there is no sermon, or conference, or new book or for that matter new bible translations that can reveal how to quit being goofy. The Bible itself has the answers to every question we need to ask.
Have an addiction to pornography? No pastor, no friend, no spouse can give you the final answer that puts you over the edge to complete victory. All these things are simply “help mates” (and much needed might I add).
Complete victory comes when we can say we are more than conquerors, and being more than a conqueror is understanding we can only be such a thing when we realize it is only through Him who loves us.
God loves you, and has given you the power to be more than a conqueror. Keep fighting. Even in the temptations of Jesus it said the devil then departed from him for a season, meaning he would come back and try to cause problems again, etc.
We know that our Lord never wastes anything in His economy. Like the American Indians who killed an animal they would use every bit of it for food and clothing and other things. They would not waste one part of it. Why is it that even among leaders who teach and preach A More Excellent Way, that very few if any seem to be able to walk completely in divine health at all times? Mind you they usually are able to pray and find their way back to health.
James 1
1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
9Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
10But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
11For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
1 Peter 1:7 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”
1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”
2 Peter 1:1 “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
There are purposes that we may not understand, but simply trust in the Lord anyway like Daniel 3. Not understanding everything is OK and realizing we are not God, nor will we ever be Him, certainly keeps us humble and that is a good place to be because the Lord resists the prideful but exalts the humble.
2 Corinthians 12:7 “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.”
Now we have taught this before and concluded this was not sickness, however going through a trail of any kind can be difficult and we must never take our eyes off the Lord. We may even walk on water if we stay focused on Him. Now whether we feel like it or not we are going to have to stay in faith.
We must believe the Lord, even when it does not make any sense to us. Like Captain Naaman going and dipping his body in the Jordan River 7 times, or going round the walls of Jericho and blowing our Shofars, or praying for it not to rain or to begin to rain.
To believe seems equal here to having faith and every thought we have is going to either go down and pathway of faith or fear. We get to chose what we think about. Now all the promises in the Bible are for the believer providing we meet the conditions by turning away from sins and staying in faith.
2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
What ever we need then is covered here because Mark 9:23 says “All things are possible for the Believer” with Papa God.
If we believe that all things we ask for in prayer that we receive it, we will have it in Papa God’s perfect timing.
Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
I don’t know how much clearer the Lord can make this because he said in Matthew 21:22 “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”
He did not put any restrictions on what we can pray about.
Mark 11:22 “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
I do not know anyone who has personally cast a mountain into the sea yet. But I have certainly seen many prayers answered, people healed, restored, and businesses and relationships succeed in the Lord by not doubting in your heart and believing those things you are praying about will happen. The Lord programmed us with a desire in our hearts and it is He who wants us to pray and receive “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
That includes pretty much anything you can desire for.
In John 15:7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
The abiding Christian receives a major benefit from Jesus here, namely, receiving answered prayer. Notice this happens through Jesus with another conditional sentence.
He says here, “If you abide in Me, (and you may or may not), and My words abide in you, (and they may or may not), then you shall ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
But what does “abiding” exactly mean here?
The term menō generally has been translated “to abide” or “to remain,” which seems to have a broad range of meanings throughout the New Testament.
In the upper room, Jesus Christ of Nazareth uses the term fourteen times and there are two views on how menō should be interpreted here that I found: 1 is justification and the other would be sanctification.
This is talking about our relationship as well as us keeping a heavenly perspective here. I have seen some theologians argue that justification because of John’s use of word “abiding” conveys the sense of union rather than communion. Well I got to thinking how can you have any kind of union where you are not somehow communicating? For example how can the Union army do anything without some one instructing or conducting it?
In other words is “Abiding in Christ” really to be distinguished from being in Christ? Although I think ideally there should be no practical difference between the two.
In John 15:1-11, Jesus talks about the “in Me” branch of verse 2 may be seen to be different from the “abide in Me” branch of verse 4. To be in Christ is to be born again, to be regenerated, to have had forgiveness of sins through Christ. All real disciples are in Christ (v. 2) because they have been cleansed of their sins (v. 3).
To abide in Christ, however, is to be an obedient follower in fellowship with Christ the Savior and Lord (vv. 4-5, 9-11).
When we do an examination of 1 John 3:24 “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”
This reveals to me that obedience is simply the condition for abiding.
Let’s call it what it is. Obedience to Christ is better than all the things you try and sacrifice to make up for lack of obedience.
While we are here let’s look at this in:
John 15:1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17These things I command you, that ye love one another.
This goes on to tell us we can be persecuted for belonging to Christ. Well there is some more insight here, because we know the curse causeless shall not come and if we personal take in some spirit of accusation against us it could play havoc with our physical and emotional well being which would affect other areas of our lives and work. A place we may have given the enemy a foot hold to attack us in our imaginations and cause us to stumble. Because most all our problems begin with a wrong thought. Some where we did not keep the mind set of Christ.
For example Elijah knew how to pray. He was a man like us and yet he moved in great power as the Lord confirmed him with signs and wonders and miracles. He closed and opened the heavens; he called down fire from heaven, and parted waters with his mantle. He was a fellow you did not want to mess with.
Entire governments were afraid of him because of whom he represented, you know how he stood there on Mt. Carmel and actually sarcastically mocked the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18.
He offered them a contest to see who the real God is. They built an altar and he built one. They put a sacrifice on it and both sides pray fire to come.
This was a man who believed the Lord would show himself and he calls down fire from Heaven after he has some fellow pour water on his altar twice. He says in:
1 Kings 18:36 “And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.”
He ends up killing all the false prophets of the devil then right under King Ahab’s nose.
Elijah entered God’s throne room seven times. He earnestly prayed it would not rain and it stopped raining for 3 ½ years then he prays for rain and seven times Elijah talked to God about this one need. Then a little cloud appeared, and it causes the heavens to open and “an abundance” of rain falls.
Elijah has some amazing victories and those miracles were witnessed by multitudes. It had been an unbelievable display of God’s power. So Elijah thought, “Now, even Jezebel will repent! Even she cannot dismiss these signs and wonders. This is God’s hour for this nation.” Like someone coming back from the dead and saying I have a message from God you must believe me.
What a rude awakening Elijah got instead. Jezebel was not at all impressed with miracles and power and she said to Elijah, “By tomorrow at this time, I will kill you just like you killed my priests.”
Here is this great man of God, who runs away from a woman. He goes hiding in a cave on Mount Horeb about 200 miles away.
Sounds like the Apostles when they ran away at the cross, except John to go hiding from the Jews and Romans. Even after they saw so many miracles and were with Jesus,
For forty days and forty nights Elijah seems to get into some self-hatred and entertaining some unloving spirits and spirits of fear. How could all this gone wrong? What did I do to deserve this? Oh poor pitiable me, poor, poor, pitiful me.
He became preoccupied with problems, his eyes on himself rather than on Papa God. Like when Peter took his eyes off of Jesus and stopped walking on the water.
Papa God comes into his hiding place and says, “Elijah, what are you doing here hiding in this cave?” Elijah answered still sounding like his is coming out of self-pity, “My Lord, the nation is falling apart. The entire government is corrupted and terribly wicked, immoral. The people have all backslidden; they won’t even believe in miracles what else can I do. Society has gone stark raving mad. They won’t listen to the Gospel message. The devil is in control here—he’s got everybody but me. I’m the only one left standing true to you, Lord. I’m hiding out to preserve at least one saint.”
Sounds like brother Elijah was like many of us. Yes, he was the praying prophet, but he had been so busy working for Papa God, so busy demonstrating the gifts he had in Papa God’s power, so busy saving God’s kingdom, that he had become a lone ranger type servant. He did not even have an Indian friend like Tonto to ride horses with.
Might we guess he was so busy talking to Papa God somewhere he stopped taking time to listen. He was having a one way conversation.
Had he been listening, he would have heard Papa God tell him that there were 7,000 saints who had not compromised as well.
We are not alone is this, the Lord is with us.
The rest of John 15:18-27 tells us “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.”
Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
Romans 4:17 “As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations, before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”
Why would we need to call things which be not as though they were unless they were going to change by the words we speak? We need to use our faith that all things are possible with God to speak to those things so they can change. I figure for something to happen, some one has to get spiritual and say something, make a profession of belief.
We need to remember that the Lord is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
The Lord is not going to rebuke us when we come to Him in faith for anything, He will give us liberally if we ask Him.
James 1:1-8 “James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; (We may fall into stuff along this path of sanctification.) 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. (So there is a reason we go through difficult times.) 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
We need to believe without questioning or wavering that what we have asked for is a done deal. Again if we abide in Him, if we meet the conditions by staying obedient, by doing what is pleasing in His sight we can have what ever we ask for. If we love Him we are going to keep His commandments.
1 John 3:22 “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”
Then we can understand and believe that Jesus paid the price for all sickness and all sins in His own body on the cross so we do not have to bear them one minute after we accept His vicarious work.
Matthew 8:16-17 “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”
1 Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
We need to get together here and really believe that every spirit filled, born again believer can do the same works of God that Christ did; because it is the same baptism of the Holy Spirit today as when the early church received it.
John 14:12-15 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Luke 24:49 “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 2:38-39 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.”
Being baptized to the Jew meant giving up Judaism and all fellowship of his nation and all political rights and privileges.
Acts 5:32 “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.”
It takes time to reprogram your thinking; faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God over again and again. Until we reach a point where the Lord is able to manifest the things we believe for us.
I think if we simply follow the Lord and the examples of the early church as they did the record speaks for itself. If we want the same things promised to the early church then we need to ask the Lord to let us receive it as well and not let any spirits of doubt and unbelief stand in the way.
For example, if we need healing and believe it is done for us just as we have been taught to ask for forgiveness of sins. It will be done as long as we do not doubt and get double minded about it. We should never doubt for one moment that Papa God will heal us just as we resist the temptation to doubt that Papa God has forgiven us our sins.
We have been taught to accept the free gift of salvation by faith, and count it as a signed and binding contract whether we feel it or not. This is not about feelings; it is about accepting the facts and believing.
That Jesus Christ of Nazareth paid the penalty in full for all our sins, and he also paid for our healings and freedom so we can enjoy that more abundant life He wants to provide for us. After we have prayed and asked for healing we would do well to count it signed sealed and delivered regardless of feelings, symptoms, and any outward evidence to the contrary.
If we have done all we know to do, let us continue trusting in our Lord just as all those testimonies of people in the Bible did and those who came after them who experienced the power of the answered prayer through Jesus Christ of Nazareth who intercedes for us.

Make a confession here to be an overcomers:
Papa God I confess that I have sinned against you and you only.
I have not always done every thing as I should and have thought and said things I should not have said. I ask you to forgive me now of all my sins and wash me clean from all unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I forgive all those who have come against me in any way, and because I know you have forgiven me now I am able to forgive myself now.
Because my body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, and sanctified by the blood of Jesus. My members, the parts of my body are instruments of righteousness, yielded to Papa God for His service and for His glory. The devil has no place in me, no power over me, no unsettled claims against me. All has been settled by the Blood of Jesus. I now overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony, and I love not my life unto the death. My body is for the Lord and the Lord is for my body. Amen.
Now Lord because of your people’s prayers right now as your representative I take the authority you have given me and I break every curse that has been hindering these people. I command those curses be removed now and I release each person back to their peace and health and that they be restored and prosper in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Son of God.
In His all prevailing name I declare these people released. Satan, I declare to you and your entire demon army that you have no more claims no more access to their lives, to their families and their business.
They have been lifted out of the domain of darkness and curse and are translated into the blessings of the Kingdom of the Son of God’s almightiest love. Amen.
We thank you Lord, Amen. Thank you Lord. Thank You. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Remember to rejoice again I say rejoice before our Lord.

Surrender your life fully to the Lordship of Christ, Phil 2:10.
Forgive others for all their sins against you. Mk 11:25,26. Release them from your judgment, Mat 7:1,2. Pray God’s blessing upon them as in Acts 26 :18
Confess all known sins and repent whole-heartedly before God. 1Jn 1:9, Acts 2:38
Identify the evil spirit.
Renounce the evil spirit in the Name of Jesus and command it to go. Jam 4:7.
Call on the Name of the Lord Jesus, the Blood of Christ and be delivered. Joel 2:32
