Confessions about Focus of Mind

‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. (Mark 12:30)

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15)

We have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).

I let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind I esteem others better than myself. I look out not only for my own interests, but also for the interests of others. I let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,  who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, ⁷ but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:3-7)

Love does not seek its own. (1 Corinthians 13:5)

I let the word of Christ dwell in me richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in my heart to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16)

I do not let myself be conformed to this world, but am transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

I do not neglect the gift that is in me. I meditate on these things; give myself entirely to them, that my progress may be evident to all. (1 Timothy 4:14, 15)
