BEEN HURT?

Life is not fair, and it wasn't meant to be easy. Some people have it much better in this life than others. There can be no doubt about that. But this life is only short. Although it matters a great deal what we do in this life, Eternity is more important.

Still, God wants to help you enjoy this life. Jesus said, "I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly." If people only knew what the reality of that was, many more would become Christians.

Sometimes it is hard to find people you can trust, especially after you have been betrayed a few times by friends or people you thought were. Maybe you have been through or are going through the pain of divorce. God does not condemn you for that.

Jesus certainly knows what betrayal and rejection is like. He experienced it on earth with Judas and lots of others. He still experiences the pain rejection today - mostly from His followers I'm sorry to say.

If you want someone to talk to, I will do my best to make time for you right now. You too are a special person, and God Himself loves you. Sometimes though, it is hard for us to see that love or believe in it. But it is real.

One of the great principles of Jesus is to forgive. If you refuse to forgive those who hurt you, you will suffer emotionally. It won't affect them half as much as it affects you. That's just the way it is. Bitterness can eat people up on the inside. It is something you'd be better off without.

You may feel unable to forgive, and maybe you are. That is a great reason to invite Jesus Christ into your world. Just call out His name with a sincere heart. You may have only used His name as a swear word until now. God can forgive you for that. The important thing is to let Christ into your world so that truly you have a life that is life indeed! He can give lasting peace, happiness and truth to those who want it. But it is on His terms - not yours.
