This section of the site will be developerd more, God willing, at a later stage. Until then, here are some brief thoughts on wisdom.
1. A truly wise person doesn't think he is so wise that he doesn't need to listen and learn from others.
2. A wise person works hard and is not lazy.
3. A wise person listens much and speaks little. When a wise person speaks, he or she uses words carefully.
4. True wisdom is to hate evil and respect God.
5. God is wiser than we are, so we should seek to be humble and really listen to what He is saying to us.
Read the Book of Proverbs for some interesting teaching on wisdom from Solomon, known as the wisest man of his time. Solomon however did not remain in the wisdom that God revealed to him. He violated in it many points through idolatry. Therefore, no matter how successful we become in the things of life through the application of wisdom, it all becomes splendid folly if we forsake the Lord.
As Jesus said, "What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?"
The Best Goal for a Christian - is it YOUR goal?
If you read motivational books, no doubt you have heard of the importance of setting goals. Without setting goals we tend to drift and we don't achieve great results. Without strong goals all we tend to do is "get by".
Some motivational books encourage us to choose any goal we like. Could be a large house in a good neighbourhood paid off, or a certain kind of car, or holiday. It might be a career achievement. The books then go on to give you some principles through which you can achieve your stated goals.

We are commanded not to be unwise
Paul, writing to the Ephesian Christians, wrote: "Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is." (Ephesians 5:17)
Christ has commanded us to love one another as He loved us, and God's Word has already told us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
Mat 22:37 Jesus said to him, 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

Watch out for Christian faith-talk in business dealings and prophetic guidance
One of the most unsuccessful years of my life financially was 2006. By not returning to Australia, and instead trying to set up business deals through certain people in Dubai, I lost many hundreds of thousands of dollars I would have had otherwise. I should have kept my investment properties in Australia and worked in Australia instead of wasting lots of time in Dubai. But I didn't know at the time. I thought I could move on to bigger and better things.
