Get Serious with God

Knowing God is an amazing thing. I'd like to help you to know Him.

If God has touched your heart through this site and you would like to get serious with God, it could be the beginning of something wonderful. I urge to consider deeply the fact that there is a God. He has revealed Himself in so many ways. His Holy Spirit calls you today. God is awesome, holy, and powerful - yet He loves you deeply. The stories on this site are part of a witness to you that God is real. If you are not really convinced, I urge you to read more from this site first, and maybe even write and ask questions. God has given abundant evidence to those who want to do what is right.

There are only two spiritual Kingdoms - the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. The Kingdom of God is the place where Jesus is King. In God's Kingdom there is peace, there is love, there is hope for the future. There is joy, healing, mercy, justice and living faith. In Satan's kingdom is pride, lust, disappointment, anger, hatred, bitterness, mockery, anguish, torment and strife. Anyone who is living for themselves is pleasing the devil because the devil stands for independence from God and a rejection of God's authority to rule. Our separation from God costs us more than we could possibly imagine, and part of the tragedy is that people don't see it, they are so deceived by a different spirit.

Do you believe that Jesus died to pay for the guilt of your sins? If you could have saved yourself by being good enough, or better than others, Jesus would never have died. But Jesus both died and rose from the grave three days later. This historical event shattered the power of the devil and has given mankind a chance to come back to God. All this was at God's expense. We deserved for God to walk away from us and never turn his face towards us again. But God is not like that. He loves us. He loves you.

To be saved there has to come a time in your life when you respond to God's love. There has to be a time when you recognise Him for who He is. Jesus Christ is Lord and Master, one with God the Father. Because of who He is, you must bow the knee, and surrender your own life, ambitions and dreams to Him. God has got a plan for your life. It is better than you could possibly imagine.

Perhaps you have tried in the past to follow Jesus and have failed. Perhaps you never learned to live the Christian life through God's power, not your own. Whatever the reason for your failure, God has promised that if you come to Him in humility and faith, He'll be with you and strengthen you. He means business with you, when you mean business with Him. He will forgive all your sins, and restore you, giving you the power to walk by the Spirit and not according to the desires of the sinful nature. All this is possible because of the sacrifice He made for you on the cross, and the resurrection of Christ from the dead.

God is calling. You may sense a struggle in your soul. The Holy Spirit is at work in your life. Do not wait for a more convenient time. You can only come when the Spirit of God draws you. Do you sense Him speaking to your heart? Do not grieve His Spirit away. This could be the greatest moment of your life.

Would you be willing to truly give your life to Jesus Christ? He gave His life for you. He is the One through whom everything in this universe holds together. He is the Wisdom of God. God knows what He is doing. His sacrifice shows us that He loves us more than we love ourselves. This is why we should trust and follow Him. What you don't give to God, Satan will take and use.

God wants you to be spiritually rich

God is the Awesome Creator of the Universe. He made the universe, and then chose a tiny speck on it to host His most special creation - human beings. The many things that are unique to the earth and unique in our human DNA and makeup point to the design of a Loving Creator.

The Bible teaches that God is love. God loves you. He wants you to enjoy His love. The greatest fulfillment that anyone can know is to give and receive God's love. We were made by God for that. read more »

Why You Are in Deep Trouble without Jesus Christ

Its not a popular message, but its important for you to know that you were born into a rebellious and corrupt race - the human race.

At one time we were not that way, but Adam our Father chose disobedience to God, and sadly that affected us as well. We were born into a world marred by sin. From the word go, demonic powers had access to us to trip us up.

You may think you are not so bad, but its probably because you are comparing yourself to others you believe are worse than yourself.

AS A CHILD I WENT TO CHURCH MY MOM DIDNT FORCE ME TO GO, IT WAS MY CHOICE, I DINT KNOW WHO GOD WAS BUT I KNEW THIS WAS A GOOD THING. I WAS ABOUT 11/12. AT THE AGE OF 15, I ENDED UP GETTING MARRIED, AND HAVEING A SON. BETWEEN THEM YEARS I LOST SIGHT OF GOD. BUT I WAS WANTING HIM AND I LOVED HIM, NOT LIKE I DO NOW. BUT I WAS WANTING HIM MY HUSBAND AT THE TIME DIDNT LIKE GOD, SO ALL THESE BAD THINGS STARTED TO HAPPEN, LIKE HIM HITTING ME AND TREATING ME BADLY. NOW I KNOW THERE WERE DEMANS, BUT I ENDED UP LIVING MY LIFE WITH OUT GOD, I STAYED IN JAIL ALL THE TIME, I WAS ON DRUGS, IN BARS DRINKING. I STAYED ON DRUGS AND IN BARS TILL I WAS 31, I STILL WANTED GOD, I READ MY BIBLE ALL THE TIME, I EVEN TRYED KILLING MY SELF A FEW TIMES BUT NOW I KNOW THAT GOD DIDNT WANT ME TO DIE HE HAD SOMETHING FOR ME, GOD TOOK ME OUT OF THE BARS I HAD TO BECOME HOMELESS WITH MY KIDS TO DO IT. I WAS SO ADDICTED TO THE MONEY. BUT HE SHOWED ME A WAY OUT OF THE BARS, AND HAD ME IN CHURCH, I STARTED WORKING FOR THE CHURCH CLEANING IT UP, GOD WAS TEACHING ME SOMETHING, I WENT THREW A SEASON OF CLEANING PLACES DIFFERNT PLACES , LIKE HOUSEKEEPING. ECT. I FOUNT LIFE THREW JESUS, I CAME TO MENOMINNE A YEAR AN HALF AGO, AND GOT IN WITH THIS CHURCH IN PHESTIGO, AND RECIEVED THE HOLY GHOST, AND MY LIFE HAS CHANGED SINCE. HE DELIVERED ME COMPLETLY FROM DRINKING, DRUGS, I HAVE NO DISIRER FOR NON OF THAT, WHEN I LOOK BACK AT MY LIFE I SEE I WAS ON THE DEVILS PATH I WAS OUT HAVEING FUN HEADING TO HELL, NOW IM ON THE RIGHT PATH HEADING TO EVERLASTING LIFE. I just want to say your testimony is amazing! God loves us so much and your story tells the story of how no matter how 'low' we have gone in our lives, the Lord's arm is not shortened that He cannot reach. His ear is not so heavy that it cannot hear the cries of a beautiful son or daughter when they cry out to Him! I am so blessed to have you as a sister.

Personally I feel like this is true when it comes to loving others . I'm seeking a heart to love God but it seems possible that at regaining my heart is harder than it seems. Do you possibly have any insight?

Bad Break-up

Hi Michael,

Firstly, thanks for this wonderful site - it brings meaning to my life. I'm 26 years of age and have difficulty staying in relationship. I've always have terrible break-ups and I don't know why? I stayed single for a year and had given up on love. I started praying that God blesses me with the "man of my dreams" and I was very descriptive. I also prayed that God changes me first in order to be a better person because I felt there was something I was doing wrong. I met this guy a month ago and when I saw him I felt so differently about him and I started asking guidance from God. I prayed about it and when we both decided that we were entering a courtship, I prayed about it everyday. We broke up not so long ago because he didn't trust me and decided to get back together with his baby's mother, which is a very good thing. The problem is, he didn't tell me about it, he just started acting strange - which really hurt me, I found out about this recently from one of his cousins. I'm so hurt. When I prayed last night I told God that I was tired of being hurt and I asked Him that if I'm His child, why does He allow people to hurt me like this? I always ask God to bless the people that hurt me but this time I asked Him to rebuke them just like a father would if other kids were hurting his child. Am I wrong to pray for God to rebuke him?

I have forgiven him in my heart, honestly. One other question, is it wrong for me to pray that he comes back or am I just being unrealistic? He was very different from the other guys that I've dated and truth is I still love him. I know I shouldn't give up on love and all the wonderfull things it offers, but why do I always get raw deals? Am I doing something wrong?

I firmly believe in God and the Word, I understand what He wants from me and I also understand His promises to me. I was so dissapointed and I felt like the devil was attacking me. I knelt down and told God how dissapointed I was and how weak I felt. I'm stronger now but still need perspective. I trust in the Lord, He has done so many wonderful things for me. He has blessed in each and every aspect of my life. I just need perspective and strength.

seeing someone else ,.....and then decided to give you the slip,....

So, dont blame yourself , ...
Jesus loves you , and a lot of Christians around the world are praying for your well being ,

Just give yourself a while ,...
God will give you a fresh new Christian guys ,.......
with no encumberances ,......

So , just pray and believe the word ,....

Jesus has the answer for your prayer.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for you testimony, I'm 41, single and attracted to men and have been involved with men.
Like your childhood mine was similar, hanging out with girls more than the guys, but yet wanting to be one of the guys.
Being called "fag" , "queer",.....from friends and even my own mother! That hurt the most. Pray that I would get back into the church, because the support and love helped out alot. I used to be involved in the church but my job for the past eight years requires me to work on Sundays, I know it sounds simple , just take Sundays off right? Well, that's my next step,pray that God will work through this as I ask for Sundays off. Also, please pray for me and this gay identity and lifestyle that deep in my heart I don't desire!!! Please send me any suggestions for help. God Bless you and your family.
