False Prophets

Jesus himself warned us to beware of false prophets (Matthew 7:15). In Matthew 24:11 he says concerning the last days:

"Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many."

And in verse 24:

"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect."

Now I am not always right. I am happy to admit this. However, I feel it is important for us to be free in the light of Jesus' words to evaluate the claims of modern day prophets and see if their lives, their teachings and their prophecies line up with the Spirit of Truth. If not, or if its uncertain, BE CAREFUL. You can lose your soul following a false prophet or a false teacher. MANY will be deceived or Jesus was wrong. And people who are deceived do not think they are deceived. They always believe they are right.

Benny Hinn says God Promises Unprecedented Prosperity for next 12 months

Benny Hinn has declared here in this email to supporters that the LORD God told him, "There will be a release of an anointing for the next 12 months that you have never seen before!" He writes:

"The response continues to be overwhelming as many of our partners and ministry friends lock into the promise of an unprecedented 12-month release of anointing and abundance and begin to see God move actively in their lives!" read more »

Muslim 3 year old girl taught to hate

What Muslims Really mean by "Peace"

Muslims tell us that Islam is really a "religion of peace".

Don't be fooled by things like the Iraq-Iran war, the Arab-Israeli conflict, the murder of Christians in Ambon, Indonesia, the burning of church buildings, the Taliban, the Islamic slave traders of Sudan, the actions of the Ottoman Empire in Eastern Europe or even the seemingly violent behavior and teaching of Prophet Mohammed himself! While these things at first glance might APPEAR warlike, we will see that they were actually all done in the struggle for "PEACE". read more »

FINALLY - an apology and repentance from a major Charismatic leader

Site author's note: It is refreshing that one of the "big name" leaders personally associated with many of the people who foolishly endorsed Todd Bentley has had the guts to talk about it, and raise SOME of the deeper issues that this whole fiasco has highlighted. Let us pray for Dutch Sheets and hope that this will help trigger some pretty serious REPENTANCE and RE-THINKING amongst those who believe they are called to LEAD and TEACH the people of GOD. - MF

Were these prophecies given to Todd Bentley true or false?

Open Letter to Wagner, Joyner from Andrew Strom

OPEN LETTER to WAGNER, JOYNER...
-by Andrew Strom.

I write this as a tongues-speaking, Spirit-filled, prophesying
believer.

Dear Rick Joyner and C. Peter Wagner,

I will do my utmost to avoid disrespect in this letter. But I cannot avoid the hard questions which must be asked.

I hope my comments here are not construed as "arrogant". This
is certainly not my intent. But I'm sure you have heard the news by now that the tide has turned in what you call your "Civil War". read more »

Are Wagner's Apostles Leaving? Fallout from Todd Bentley's lies continues ...

Are WAGNER's APOSTLES LEAVING??
-Andrew Strom.

Last week we published a number of strong statements against
Lakeland by one of Peter Wagner's 'apostles' named Robert
Ricciardelli. For those who are not aware, Peter Wagner heads
up an organization devoted to setting in place "apostles" over the church. This is known as the 'New Apostolic Reformation' (NAR), and it has been very controversial. I myself have never seen it as any kind of true "Reformation" - because all it seems to do is set up another level of hierarchy over the existing ones. read more »

Why I don't trust the Todd Bentley Lakeland phenomenon

Dear friends in Christ,

Even before the Lakeland phenomenon broke out, I heard a report about Todd Bentley's meetings on the Gold Coast that dismayed me somewhat. It had to do with the way he raises money, by telling people that they should "sow" money into his anointing so that they can receive an impartation of it.

I can't say I was prejudiced against these meetings from the start. In fact I had heard of Todd Bentley and knew he moved to some extent in gifts of healing and miracles for some years. I hadn't read anything that looked really wrong. read more »

How People Become False Prophets

Jesus told us to watch out for false prophets. If they were powerless to deceive born again Christians, I don't think Jesus would have told us to "take heed".

In this article, I show how true Christians can become false prophets. The Bible clearly shows that there are men who start off hearing and obeying the LORD God, who end up as soothsayers and destroyers of God's people.

The New Testament warns us in 2 Peter 2 and the Book of Jude to watch out for arrogant, money loving preachers. Paul warned us against the times when people would heap up teachers who tell them what their itching ears want to hear. You won't hear too many expositions of these passages on Christian TV today. What a pity, they were never more needed. read more »
