Counselling Prayers

SINNER'S PRAYER FOR SALVATION

"Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I come a sinner and I now renounce all of my sins. I confess the sins of ........... (name those sins) and I utterly renounce those sins in the name of Jesus Christ. I absolutely turn from them. I especially renounce any involvement in the occult (if you or your parents or ancestors have been in Freemasonry or Druids Lodge you should especially renounce that involvement). I renounce all the works of the devil.

I believe Jesus Christ came into this world, born of a virgin, that He walked this earth, that He was crucified on a cross and that He died in order to cleanse me from all sin, to reconcile me to You, Heavenly Father, and that through His precious blood He bought me back from the hand of the devil. I believe He paid the total penalty for all of the sins I have ever committed and that through His blood I am cleansed, redeemed and sanctified, that is set apart to God, and justified, that is just as if I had never sinned.

I believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day and is seated now at the right hand of God. I turn to You, Lord Jesus. I turn away from the power of darkness to the power of light, from the power of Satan to the power of God and I ask You, Lord Jesus, to come into my life by Your Holy Spirit. I surrender absolutely to You and I confess You as my Lord and my Saviour."

PRAYER FOR BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

You should encourage all persons seeking the baptism with the Holy Spirit to say the following prayer together out loud:

"Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I renounce all my sins. I especially renounce all involvement in the occult or witchcraft on my own part or on the part of my parents or ancestors. I honour my mother and father and I forgive them for any sins, real or imagined. I renounce their sins and the sins of my ancestors. I renounce fear, unbelief, doubt, blockage of mind, wrong doctrine, secular humanism and anything which may prevent me from receiving everything that You would want to give me. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ all my sins have been forgiven. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been cleansed. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been redeemed. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been justified, just as if I had never sinned. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been sanctified, set apart and made holy to God. I ask You, Lord Jesus, to baptise me now with the Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord."

After this prayer has been said by each person, the counsellors should lay hands on them, asking God to anoint them, and encourage them to speak in tongues. The counsellor should also speak in tongues to encourage the candidate.

PRAYER FOR HEALING

(a) Everybody should be invited to go on their knees and confess their sins and renounce them. This should particularly include any involvement with unforgiveness, anger, hatred, bitterness, resentment, the occult, present or past adultery or abortion.

(b) They should then all be invited to stand and say the following prayer together out loud:

"Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. I come in true repentance and I now repent in particular from all past bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, resentment, hatred.

I especially renounce any involvement in the occult. I honour my mother and father, and I forgive them and I renounce their sins and the sins of my ancestors.

I ask You, Holy Spirit, to come now in power and touch me for complete healing within and without."

(c) As soon as this prayer is uttered, the counsellor should begin to lay hands on the various people. If there are enough counsellors, it would be good if two could lay on hands together, but otherwise one will do.

(d) As with most counselling, each person should be counselled by a person of the same sex where possible or by two counsellors who are working together as a team.

PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE

(a) The people seeking deliverance should be invited to go onto their knees and confess their sins and renounce them, especially anything involved with the occult, unforgiveness, adultery or abortion, then stand again, ready for prayer.

(b) Then two counsellors should stand with each person to be prayed for. If there are insufficient counsellors, then the remaining people should wait.

(c) Everybody should then be invited to say the following prayer, together out loud:

"Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank You Lord for Your love for me. I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Saviour and that He died and rose again from the dead. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been redeemed from the hand of the devil. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ all my sins have been forgiven. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been sanctified, made holy to God. I believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been justified just as if I had never sinned. I now confess all my sins. I confess that in my own strength I have been unable to defeat the attacks of the enemy. I specifically renounce the following sexual sins .......... I confess I have been wrong. I renounce all pleasure connected with these sins. I now turn from my sin. I ask You, Father, to forgive me all that is past and give me discernment when the temptation arises and the strength to resist it. I ask You to heal my memories and to heal the hurts and forgive me in Jesus' name.

I also specifically renounce any other sins such as rejection, or unforgiveness. I especially forgive the following persons .......... (name them).

I specifically honour my parents and I forgive them. I renounce my own sins and the sins of my ancestors in the name of Jesus Christ. I especially renounce all idolatry, witchcraft and everything of the occult and all the hidden things of darkness. I call upon You, Lord Jesus, to set me free from every demonic power that has affected me.

Lord, I now renounce Satan and all his works. I hate his demons. I count them my enemies in the name of Jesus. I loose myself from every dark spirit, from every evil influence, from every satanic bondage, from any spirit in me that is not the Spirit of God. I command all such spirits to leave me now in the name of Jesus.

I call upon You, Lord Jesus, to set me free from every demonic power that has affected me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Risen Saviour, I command every demonic power that has lived within me or oppressed me to leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ. I declare that I am a child of the Living God and that Satan has no right to inhabit any part of me or to oppress me. I thank You Lord Jesus and I give You the glory. Amen."

At the close of this prayer, those praying for others for deliverance should command spirits to leave. Suggested prayer is as follows:

"Satan, I bind your power and command you to loose this person and come out from them now in Jesus' name. I command you to depart from them now and from this place in Jesus' name."

GENERAL PRAYERS

The following prayers are also applicable and should be said by the candidate for deliverance where the counsellor discerns that it is necessary.

RELEASE FROM CURSES

"Lord Jesus Christ, I confess You are the Son of God and that You died on the Cross for my sins and rose again. On the Cross You took every curse and became a curse for me. I honour my mother and father and forgive them and renounce their sins. I confess my own sins and the sins of my ancestors and I ask Your forgiveness. I forgive others. I forgive them as You forgave me. I forgive myself. Please forgive me, Father, for blaming You for what others may have done to me. I specifically renounce all curses that have been placed upon my life through the words of those who have abused and damaged me. I forgive them and ask You, Lord, to release me from their consequences. I now release myself and those under me from any curse. I declare myself released, I claim it and I thank You Lord." Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross, I have been redeemed from the curse of the law and I have entered into the blessing of Abraham whom God blessed in all things. Thank You Father God."

BREAKING SOUL TIES

"Dear Heavenly Father, as I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ in the authority that is in that name, I break every soul tie affecting my body, soul or spirit, which has existed between myself and .......... (name the individual). In the name of Jesus Christ, I specifically speak to every demonic power that has taken advantage of that link and I tell it that it has no rights here and it must leave now without going into any other member of my family. Thank You Lord Jesus that through Your shed blood and through Your wonderful name, I am able to be absolutely free. Thank You Lord."

RENOUNCING INNER VOWS "In the name of Jesus Christ, I specifically renounce all vows which I have made, knowing or unknowingly, against myself. I specifically renounce.....( name those vows which you have made and which you know to be wrong). I ask You to totally cleanse me and set me free from the results of those vows and I thank You for doing it."

RELEASE FROM PRONOUNCEMENTS

"Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the authority of that name, I specifically renounce all curses that have been placed upon my life through the words of those who have abused and damaged me. I forgive them and I ask You Lord to release me from their consequences. Thank You Father, in Jesus' name."

PRAYER OF RELEASE FOR MASONS AND THEIR DESCENDANTS

If you or someone you love is a descendant of a Mason, I recommend that you pray through the following prayers from your heart. Don't be like the Masons -please read it through first so you know what is involved. It is best to pray aloud with a Christian witness or counsellor present.

"Father God, creator of heaven and earth, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. I come as a sinner seeking forgiveness and cleansing from all sins committed against You, and others made in Your image. I honour my earthly father and mother and all of my ancestors of flesh and blood, and of the spirit by adoption and god-parents, but I utterly turn away from and renounce all their sins. I forgive my ancestors for the effects of their sins on me and my children. I confess and renounce all of my own sins. I renounce and rebuke Satan and every spiritual power of his affecting me and my family.

I renounce and forsake all involvement in Freemasonry or any other lodge or craft by my ancestors and myself. I renounce witchcraft, the principal spirit behind Freemasonry, and I renounce Baphomet, the Spirit of Antichrist and the curse of the Luciferian doctrine. I renounce the idolatry, blasphemy, secrecy and deception of Masonry at every level. I specifically renounce the insecurity, the love of position and power, the love of money, avarice or greed, and the pride which would have led my ancestors into Masonry. I renounce all the fears which held them in Masonry, especially the fears of death, fears of men, and fears of trusting, in the name of Jesus Christ.

I renounce every position held in the lodge by any of my ancestors, including "Tyler", "Master", "Worshipful Master" or any other. I renounce the calling of any man "Master", for Jesus Christ is my only master and Lord, and He forbids anyone else having that title. I renounce the entrapping of others into Masonry, and observing the helplessness of others during the rituals. I renounce the effects of Masonry passed on to me through any female ancestor who felt distrusted and rejected by her husband as he entered and attended any lodge and refused to tell her of his secret activities."

1ST DEGREE "I renounce the oaths taken and the curses involved in the First or Entered Apprentice degree, especially their effects on the throat and tongue. I renounce the hoodwink, the blindfold, and its effects on emotions and eyes, including all confusion, fear of the dark, fear of the light, and fear of sudden noises. I renounce the secret word, BOAZ, and all it means. I renounce the mixing and mingling of truth and error, and the blasphemy of this degree of Masonry. I renounce the noose around the neck, the fear of choking and also every spirit causing asthma, hayfever, emphysema or any other breathing difficulty. I renounce the compass point, sword or sphere held against the breast, the fear of death by stabbing pain, and the fear of heart attack from this degree.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I now pray for healing of .......... (throat, vocal cords, nasal passages, sinus, bronchial tubes etc), for healing of the speech area, and the release of the Word of God to me and through me and my family."

2ND DEGREE

"I renounce the oaths taken and the curses involved in the second or Fellow Craft degree of Masonry, especially the curses on the heart and chest. I renounce the secret words JACHIN and SHIBBOLETH and all that these mean. I cut off emotional hardness, apathy, indifference, unbelief, and deep anger from me and my family. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for the healing of .......... (the chest/ lung/ heart area) and also for the healing of my emotions, and ask to be made sensitive to the Holy Spirit of God."
