Finding God through His Only Begotten Son-Jesus
Those who diligently seek me shall find me. Everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD (Jesus) shall be saved. My husband has struggled because he didn't feel like God listened when he prayed, that God didn't speak to him when he read the Bible, that God wasn't communicating with him. Jesus is the one and only way for us to come to the Father. He is the mediator to Father on our behalf. Each one of us can have a "personal relationship with the Lord Jesus" that through that we find God. I and my Father are one, no one can come to the Father except through me. (I will give you the scripture references if you would like) Anyway, the personal relationship you have with Jesus is not going to be like mine. But the same LORD for you will be the same LORD for me-the one and only Jesus. I can't make him be this type of LORD-one who lets me live in sin, and just forgives me when I confess my sin,(No one who is born "born again believer" of God continues to sin; lets me get away with things that I shouldn't do- ("Do not be deceived, a man shall reap what he soweth")not that grace an mercy don't have their part, but God chastens those whom he loves because he wants them to reap the rewards of obediance, and not those of disobediance; Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. The Bible teaches us so much about who our Lord is-John 1:1-15. If you are serious about knowing the Lord, be prepared for what things have to come to help you learn to be more like him. He was merciful and forgiving towards people who had hurt him. He made a clear commandment for us about how often to forgive 70X7 when a brother sins against us we are to forgive-every time no matter how many times they sin against us-to reinforce this commandment Jesus said- Anyone who does not forgive, will not be forgiven by the Father Matt 18:21-35. My point being, situations (good or bad) will come to help you become more like the LORD Jesus. They are all worth going through so we can become an overcomer of the flesh, the things of this world, and give all the glory to the one who made it possible!!!. My husband ask God "where have I offended you?" in prayer a few months ago. His oldest daughter left our house unexpectantly, without saying anything to him. This broke his heart in a way that is indescrible. Then God communicated with my husband on the question he had asked months before. God revealed to my husband the pain he was feeling towards his daughter leaving was the same God feels when we don't choose him, or when we choose to go back to the world and it's ways. The Lord communicates with us all differently, some people the same way. Be careful to test what you may hear, see, or learn-2Tim2:15 He is a personal LORD who is faithful to reveal His word-through the Holy Spirit John 16:13. Hopefully this will encourage you. 2Tim3:16
