Muslims tell us that Islam is really a "religion of peace".

Don't be fooled by things like the Iraq-Iran war, the Arab-Israeli conflict, the murder of Christians in Ambon, Indonesia, the burning of church buildings, the Taliban, the Islamic slave traders of Sudan, the actions of the Ottoman Empire in Eastern Europe or even the seemingly violent behavior and teaching of Prophet Mohammed himself! The Danger of Islam

If Islam is true, then Christianity is false and all who die as Christians will burn in hell forever along with all others who finally reject islam. If the Christianity of the Bible is true, however, then Islam is definitely false, and all muslims who die as muslims will burn in hell forever, having rejected the only Way by which their sins may be forgiven. The issue is therefore serious, since it involves the beliefs of about 1/3 or more of the world's population. read more »

Islam

Islam means "submission". It holds that the true name of God is Allah and that Mohammed is his prophet. True followers of islam seek to follow the sayings of Mohammed as recorded in the Qu'ran. Most muslims also recognise the "Hadeeth" as an authoritative book governing muslim life, but some muslims are against the Hadeeth and deny its authority in matters of life and faith.

There are around 1 billion people who would call themselves muslim, though the percentage of those who seek to follow the Qu'ran literally would be much smaller.
